Some More of that Ant-Man and the Wasp Goodness!
Predictably, I expected the various YouTube parody videos to make their rounds today celebrating Ant-Man and the Wasp. I have been partially correct so far, at lest.
Enjoy the Honest Trailer for Ant-Man and the Wasp!
Love me some Honest Trailers!
If and when the How It Should Have Ended video drops today, I’ll add that to this post!

Gonna Do a Bunch of Ant-Man and the Wasp Stuff Today
Ant-Man and the Wasp comes out on DVD today, for people who still use DVDs. I’ll probably Red Box it this weekend, for people who still use Red Box. This being the case, there’s bound to be a bunch of funny Ant-Man and the Wasp internet stuff I can share today.
Let’s start with this big video of all the bonus features, deleted scenes and bloopers.
Yeah, fun stuff! It’s a good movie and I look forward to watching it again, and seeing Ant-Man and the Wasp show up in Avengers 4.

Glass is the Unbreakable Sequel We’ve All Been Waiting For
I was a big fan of M. Night Shyamalan’s early work, including his superhero film, Unbreakable. Like the rest of America, I stopped watching his films at some point…but he’s back, baby! Unbreakable 2 is right around the corner!
More precisely, that’s the trailer for Glass, the threequel that will unite Unbreakable with Split. I haven’t seen Split, yet, but it’s on my list to scarf down ahead of Glass. It looks damn cool!

6 Thoughts on Venom
Venom is kind of a hit! The symbiote superhero film broke the October box office record, pulling in a respectable $80 million. Not bad, considering the headache this film has been to get to the theaters. But credit where credit is due, this film might have legs. I thought it was pretty good.

Movie Rating: 6/10 – Pretty Good.
Obviously, I’d prefer if Venom was given over to Marvel Studios and got to be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Marvel can do no wrong. Sony Pictures can definitely do wrong. I had low expectations for the film, and had long ago severed any hope I had for total comic book accuracy. With that in mind, I had an OK time and can legitimately say I enjoyed the film. It’s not a good movie, with a ton of flaws, but it was an ultimately watchable Venom movie. Good for them!
Comic-Con Trailer Sunday!
There have been a ton more trailers coming out of Comic-Con, and I’m too lazy to make individual posts for each of them — don’t judge me, it’s the weekend. And speaking of a lazy Sunday, how about we just run them down, shall we?
The Boys
I love The Boys comic from Garth Ennis. It was pretty great from start to finish. As always, I’m a little worried about a TV show adaptation, but this trailer looks fine so far. Quality comic book show to make.
Good Omens
I read Good Omens a couple years ago, when I was reading Neil Gaiman novels. It’s good! And the trailer looks good too! So here’s hoping it’s another success.
Mortal Engines
Ugh. The trailers for this movie keep focusing on the wrong things. I want to see more of these giant, mobile villages and cities. That’s such a unique idea, and the trailers make them look amazing!
But no, the trailer focuses on all the usual Young Adult adaptation ideas. We’ve got a magical MacGuffin amulet, a Terminator-like monster, mom secrets, and more. Then the protagonist is described as “very, very rare”. Seriously? The badass female antagonist who is both “beautiful” and yet has “jagged edges”? Isn’t that every single badass female YA protagonist?
I’m still gonna see it.
She-Ra and the Princesses of Power
This looks amazing! As I’ve mentioned before, I rather enjoy all these serious reboots of classic 1980s cartoons. There are maybe too many of them, but I’m not going to complain about nostalgia-based entertainment. I’m as much a sucker for that as anybody. And I love how this looks!
