6 Costumes I Want in the New Spider-Man Games

I am currently swinging my way through the new Spider-Man 2 video game on Playstation 5, having a grand old time fighting bad guys, thwipping webs and fighting Venoms. When I beat the game, I’ll do a round-up List of Six (maybe next week?), but today I wanted to touch upon a specific aspect of the game series: the costumes! I love alternate costumes, even if I don’t use them very often, and even after three games in this series, there are more I want to see.

This costume already looks damn good

I’m a sucker for maintaining story accurate costumes in these games. No matter how well these alternate costumes are incorporated into the animation and gameplay, I’m still usually wearing Peter or Miles’s game canon costume for the story missions. I can’t help myself. But I’ve loved having the alternate costume option since all the way back to the Spider-Man Playstation 1 games. Spidey has so many costumes, it’s a hoot to have them available. And I definitely indulge when it comes to side quests or mini-games, or just swinging around the city in new duds.

So when we get some DLC or even Spider-Man 3 or Spider-Man: Miles Morales 2, these are the costumes I still want to see in this game series.

Hench-Sized Comic Book Reviews – 10/28/23

Happy Halloween, everyone! We’re only a few days away from that glorious of all holidays! Too bad I didn’t read any spooky comics, and instead have some new issues of Captain America and Void Rivals.

Comic Book of the Week goes to Wonder Woman #2 for another strongly written, fairly badass comic book.

Well, you earned it anyway

Meanwhile, I’m still working my way through Spider-Man 2, taking my time to enjoy as much of the game as I can and loving every minute of it. A lot has been spoiled for me because the internet is a terrible place, but I’ll survive and there will hopefully be a few surprises still to come.

Comic Reviews: Captain America #2, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #113, Void Rivals #5 and Wonder Woman #2.

Hench-Sized Comic Book Reviews – 10/21/23

By the time you are reading this, I am hopefully hours-deep into the new Spider-Man 2 video game, and I’m loving the heck out of it! I’m also loving this week’s comics, which featured some of my absolute current favorite superhero comics coming out right now. What a fun week!

Comic Book of the Week goes to Superman #7, narrowly beating out new issues of Nightwing and Scarlet Witch. When weighed against one another, Superman #7 just contains more story oomph. The other comics were great s well!

Look, up in the sky!

Meanwhile, my Cyberpunk 2077 replay has been cut short thanks to Spider-Man 2. No big loss. I’ve got the saved games, so maybe I’ll play both at the same time? We’ll see. Spider-Man 2 is great so far. I love the familiar gameplay, I love this world, and I’m on a Playstation 5 now, so everything looks so damn good!

Comic Reviews: Nightwing #107, Scarlet Witch #9, Sensational She-Hulk #1 and Superman #7.

It’s Spider-Man 2 Day!

The day is finally here! After waiting many years, after waiting all day this week, after waiting the hours of my work day, it’s finally time to play and enjoy Spider-Man 2! Granted, I’m posting this in the morning and won’t be able to play until I get out of work later…but still, let’s be happy!

Here’s the launch trailer. Looks great.

This game is gonna be a blast! The last game, and the Miles Morales spin-off, were amazing. And I’ve got a 3-day weekend ahead of me, so I plan to play all weekend long. Gonna swing and web to my heart’s content! I hope everyone else is having just as much fun.

6 Marvel Characters Who Could Support a Traditional TV Show

Word came down last week that Marvel is scrapping most of the work done on the upcoming Daredevil: Born Again TV show, and that they’re looking to make TV shows more like classic TV productions. This is both dismaying and uplifting news. On the one hand, I’m sorry to hear about any problems at Marvel Studios. On the other hand, I’m all for them doing what needs to be done to put out the best possible product.

Superior cameo

I have enjoyed pretty much all of the Marvel Disney+ shows so far, with few exceptions. But it’s interesting to learn that Marvel leaned into making the shows like movies instead of making the shows like shows. That explains a lot. And it’ll be interesting to see Marvel make their shows more like traditional shows, with showrunners, pilots and planned seasons going forward. To that end, why don’t I stick my nose in where it doesn’t belong and offer some suggestions? Marvel has a whole host of characters and teams that haven’t been used yet, and who I think could make for a fun, multi-season, traditional TV show.

Join me after the jump for all the characters I think could support their own multi-season TV show, without the need to tie into the movies.
