Hench-Sized Comic Book Reviews – 11/28/15
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! Or, at least, close enough! Due to that big American holiday, my reviews might be a little light this week. There are a ton of comics coming out these days that I enjoy, and I just couldn’t get too many helpings this week! But we’ve got the first issue of Dark Knight III, which is grabbing all the headlines. And we’ve got the always welcome return of Saga!
Comic Book of the Week goes to the first issue of Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur, a cute new comic from Marvel that resurrects an old franchise and gives it a 2015 spin.

Happy Thanksgiving, We’ve Got a Captain America: Civil War Trailer!
This was a welcome surprise this morning! I’d heard there’d be some Captain America movie news on the Jimmy Kimmel show last night, but I don’t watch Jimmy Kimmel! I went to bed, I was tired! But sure enough, I wake up this morning and discover the flippin’ first full length trailer for Captain America: Civil War!
Great googily moogily that awesome! I thought I was riding high on Jessica Jones, and that maybe I didn’t need another Marvel movie so soon, but wow that trailer looks good. It’s got the action, it’s got the character building, it’s got some pretty amazing moments between Steve Rogers and Tony Stark. Oh man. This is gonna be stellar!

6 Thoughts on the First Season of Jessica Jones
Looks like this Marvel/Netflix deal is turning out to be one of the most creatively satisfying projects either company has ever done. After Daredevil was a huge hit this past summer, Jessica Jones has roared onto our screens to deliver another phenomenal superhero show. Gripping, invasive, spooky and downright charming (for both good and ill), Jessica Jones was worthy of a binge watch this past weekend, and it lived up to all the hype.
Successfully redeeming name titles from John Carter
Season Rating: 9/10 – Great
Rather than write any kind of official review, I’d just like to jam a little on the awesomeness of Jessica Jones (and a few minor flaws). I loved the show from beginning to end and will gladly go back and rewatch someday. I can’t wait for her to team up with other heroes on the Defenders, and I already kind of want Jessica to start knocking around Tony Stark and Steve Rogers.

Hench-Sized Comic Book Reviews – 11/21/15
This is the week. There are a lot of good comics out this week, and I wish I’d found the time to get to even more of them, but this week is special because of the return of two of my favorite comics: Ms. Marvel and The Mighty Thor! These are some of the best in the industry right now, and their returns are most welcome!
But surprisingly, Comic Book of the Week goes to Astonishing Ant-Man #2! Another one of Marvel’s gems, the new issue of Ant-Man delivers a wonderfully entertaining issue that edges out the two more hotly anticipated comics because of the return of a recent favorite character of mine!

Jessica Jones Arrives Today!
In case you needed to be reminded, the new Jessica Jones TV show finally arrives on Netflix today! In fact, it’s available right now! Unfortunately, schmucks like me have to go to work. But you darn well better believe I’ll be binging the show as soon as I get out and through the weekend!
