Tell It Animated Does Harley Quinn

The Tell It Animated channel on YouTube is one that needs more recognition. This guy is doing great work! So I’m glad to do my part to always share his videos with you, my loyal and random blog readers. Surely we can turn the tide and make this dude famous, right? If it helps, his new video is on Harley Quinn!

Another excellent video! And I’d love one based on Harley Quinn’s video game appearances. Though, as always, my recommendation for his next video is Robin. He’s circling the Batman family tree pretty hard, and there are plenty of good Robin options out there! Early serials, ’60s Batman, Animated Series, Batman Forever, Batman and Robin, Titans, Teen Titans, Teen Titans Go!, Dark Knight Rises; the list goes on and on! Plenty of Robin fodder!

Hench-Sized Comic Book Reviews – 9/4/21

Boy howdy, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings was a lot of fun and it’s good to have another Marvel movie under our belts! Expect my review/thoughts on Wednesday, like usual! Other than that, this was an oddly light week for me, with only a couple of DC Comics to enjoy.

Comic Book of the Week goes to Static: Season One #3 for an all-around really good comic book.

Needs a coat?

Meanwhile, to reiterate, I really enjoyed Shang-Chi and look forward to going again in a couple of weeks when the theater will be less crowded. That should be fun! And not that you have to do anything, but my birthday is on Monday. Just letting you know.

Comic Reviews: Batman: Fear State Alpha #1, Static: Season One #3 and Wonder Girl #3.

Top 6 Comic Book Martial Artists (Not Named Shang-Chi)

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is only a day away for yours truly! I can’t wait! Word has it that the martial arts action in this movie is going to be off the chain! Who doesn’t love a good martial arts action movie? Who doesn’t love a good martial arts action superhero?

Appearing soon on the big screen

To celebrate the new movie, I’ve decided to list a bunch of other awesome martial arts characters in comics. Obviously, a ton of characters know how to fight and do martial arts. Batman is one of the world’s best fighters in the DC Universe. So this list is specifically for characters whose whole schtick is being a martial arts master. That is their general aesthetic. And I think I’ve picked out some pretty good ones!

Hench-Sized Comic Book Reviews – 8/28/21

In one week, I will have seen Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. The wait is excruciating! So let’s read some comics to pass the time! Like Superman: Son of Kal-El and something to do with Thor!

Comic Book of the Week goes to Darkhawk #1 for a solid, enjoyable introduction to the new Darkhawk — even if the world wasn’t calling out for a new Darkhawk.

That construction worker knows his obscure 90s heroes!

Meanwhile, I just finished the zombie show Kingdom on Netflix and it was amazing! I love me a good zombie show, but couldn’t care less about The Walking Dead anymore. But Kingdom was some epic stuff and highly recommended. It’s a zombie show set in feudal Korea. So we’re talking ancient weaponry, ancient defenses, when dealing with a zombie horde, plus a ton of political intrigue and fun characters. This was a good show and gets my highest recommendation.

Comic Reviews: Darkhawk #1, Strange Academy #12, Superman: Son of Kal-El #2, and Thor #16.

Let’s Kill Some Time Until Spider-Man

Apparently, the first trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home has leaked online in various bootleg versions. I haven’t seen it, nor do I want to see it. I’m more than willing to have patience because word on the internet streets is that the actual, full trailer is going to release tonight during some special Sony presentation. So I’ll likely post it tomorrow!

While we wait, how about some Honest Trailers? They’re always fun!

And I was right, they were fun! Honest Trailers are always good for some time killing, and these worked excellently. They really nailed Loki and The Suicide Squad. And in a couple of months, I’ll be able to do an Honest Trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home. So it really all exists full circle.

Now we simply sit back and wait for the real No Way Home trailer to arrive…
