6 Teen Heroes to Add to Young Justice Season 3
Young Justice is coming back for a third season, which is nothing short of a miracle! Cancelled shows just don’t come back to life a few years later. Fans everywhere are freaking out over the awesome possibilities of a third season. Personally, I wasn’t too keen on the show, but I’m always in favor of good superhero cartoons.
Plus I get to play one of my favorite games: superhero draft! I get to put my extensive knowledge of comic books to good use and pick out a few perfect heroes and villains for a role. Such as, what characters could they add to the third season of Young Justice? The cast is already pretty huge, but adding new characters is exactly what the show is known for, and somehow, they didn’t get to everybody just yet.

Speaking of LEGO figures I Want to Own…
Today is a great day for superhero LEGOs! Not only has Marvel revealed a Ms. Marvel mini-fig, but DC is also going to make one for Catman! And not just any Catman, but Gail Simone’s original Secret Six Catman! Holy guacamole, people! It’s like Christmas has come one month early!
I gotta have it!
Unfortunately, this Catman treasure will be part of LEGO’s blind bag waves. Basically, they just sell the bag and you could get any one of the 20 figurines in the wave. I might want to buy Catman, but I’ll end up with Batman wearing a tutu. It could happen. So it looks like I’ll have to turn to eBay or something…

Damian Wayne as Robin is Like Donald Trump as President
I’ve been pondering for a while now the best way to express my thoughts on the current state of Robin at DC Comics. This month’s election has helped put everything into a new perspective.
Damian Wayne as Robin is like Donald Trump as President.
Yes, he’s an interesting and entertaining person, but he’s sullying an honorable position, has pushed better candidates to the wayside, and it’s probably going to be a while before everything straightens back out again. Until then, we’re just stuck.
Provocative headline aside, I’m just not happy with the current state of Robin at DC Comics. Robin is one of my all-time favorite comic book characters, and with Damian Wayne sporting the ‘R’, I just think both characters are being wasted.
Damian is a R.I.N.O.
Robin In Name Only.

Hench-Sized Comic Book Reviews – 11/19/16
Oof. What a crummy week for comics. I don’t know if it’s just me, but this whole week was kind of a dud. And I even read some of my favorite comics! Squirrel Girl! Hellcat! Wolverine! I don’t know what happened, but everything just felt kind of…flat. They were all still pretty good, but there just seemed to be something missing. Some magic…
As such, I’m not even sure which comic to award Comic Book of the Week. I kind of want to just not give it to anybody. But I’m not ready to set that precedent, so I’m gonna give it to Infamous Iron Man #2 because it has the most potential.

It’s a good look for him
My actual reviews are going to be kind of light this week, because after reading a bunch of comics, I just didn’t feel like reviewing them. Plus sometimes I skip over storylines, like I’m currently doing with Patsy Walker and All-New Wolverine. Both are fine, but eh…also, the fill-in artist they got for All-New Wolverine was just bad. Like, make you question what Marvel was thinking bad.
Still, we got a handful of comics to check out this week.
Comic Reviews: Infamous Iron Man #2, Jessica Jones #2, Nightwing #9, Thanos #1, Unbeatable Squirrel Girl #14.
The Two Reasons Why I Kinda Didn’t Care For Young Justice
Part of me was never going to write this article. I didn’t watch Young Justice when it was on the air, because that’s just not how I watch TV anymore. Instead, I caught up with all of season two at a later date, and when it was over and cancelled, I was pretty sure I understood why. I intended to write an article explaining my thoughts, but I just kept putting it off until it was beyond relevant.
Now that Young Justice has been confirmed as rising from the dead for a third season, this is probably my best chance to explain why I just didn’t care for the show, especially after season 2.
Don’t get me wrong, Young Justice is a fine show, and any comic book fan should be thrilled at the breadth of material that was brought to glorious cartoon life. As a Robin fan in particular, how cool was it that the show is going full Robin? With Nightwing, Tim Drake and Jason Todd’s death all part of the proceeding?
That’s good stuff.
But I was largely disappointed with Young Justice season 2 for two very important reasons. Reasons that, I feel, were such a detriment to the show that I understood why it was cancelled — aside from that whole toy issue, which sounds like a perfectly legitimate (albeit stupid) reason for a network to cancel a cartoon like Young Justice.
It got too big.
And it got too mean.
The big thing about season 2 was that the show took a five year jump in time between seasons. This allowed the writers to jump right into new storylines, while also introducing a ton of new characters. And while I’m sure a lot of fans loved this, I felt it hurt the show in the long run.
