Star Trek: Lower Decks is Coming Back!
I am a huge fan of Star Trek: Lower Decks. I’ve never been a big Trekkie. It just wasn’t my thing growing up. But I’ve watched a lot of modern Trek stuff and Lower Decks is my favorite. It’s a brilliant show with great characters, a great sense of humor and a real love of all things Trek. It’s great for me because I can enjoy the jokes on the show and then look them up online to get the deeper meaning.
I can’t wait for season 3. The first two seasons were friggin’ perfect, and more of this show is going to be a real treat. I want a ton of seasons! I want a full, class Star Trek show length amount! Six seasons and a movie! And we also learned at Comic-Con that Lower Decks is going to crossover with Strange New Worlds. I haven’t watched that yet but am considering it. And, for some reason, they won’t have the voice actors play the characters in live action, even though they look perfect for the live action roles. Weird choice.
But whatever, I’ll take weird choices. Star Trek: Lower Decks arrives on Paramount+ on Aug. 25! Just gotta wait another month!

Groot Is Adorable As Ever in I Am Groot Cartoons
Groot is awesome. We can all agree on that. Well he’s going to star in his own series of animated shorts this fall, called I Am Groot. We’re known about the show for a while, and no we’ve got the first trailer, courtesy of San Diego Comic Con.
And I think it looks great. I’m no elitist. I will gladly accept any and all content Marvel wishes to give me. It doesn’t take a lot to make me happy when it comes to this stuff. And this looks adorable and fun. My life can support watching a couple of neat little cartoon shorts about Groot. Bring them on!
Five original shorts are going to start up on Disney+ on Aug. 10.

This Harley Quinn Trailer Has a Lot of Cussing
Another week, another new trailer for the Harley Quinn cartoon and it’s upcoming season 3! I love this show and it’s a lazy Tuesday, so why not just share another one of these trailers? I can’t wait for this season!
But since this red band trailer is full of cussing, I can’t link it directly from YouTube. So how about the Twitter version?
Looks great! I can’t wait for all the humor, the character growth and the cussing. You can still watch the trailer on YouTube if you’d like. It’s much simpler, but has all sorts of rules.
Anyway, Harley Quinn season 3 comes to HBO Max on July 28! So a week and two days away!

There’s Gonna Be More Beavis and Butt-Head
We knew this was coming, and now we’ve got a trailer! The new movie, Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe, came out a couple of weeks ago and it was a hoot! Maybe not as good as the good old days, but nonetheless quite a funny and enjoyable film. And that’s going to lead into a whole new revival series this fall.
Bring it on! We have a million things to watch these days, so why not more Beavis and Butt-Head straight from Mike Judge? Close Enough just got cancelled. And the new season of Tuca & Bertie arrived with so little fanfare that I might forget to watch it. There’s so much stuff! So I’ll gladly take more Beavis and Butt-Head!
The new show starts on Aug. 4 on Paramount+.

Nightwing Joins Awesome Harley Quinn Cartoon!
We’ve got an even bigger and better trailer for season 3 of Harley Quinn, which is coming to HBO Max at the end of this month. I love this show. It’s pretty much perfect. And I can only imagine it’s going to get even better in season 3! Largely because we’re getting Nightwing!
We’ve also got Harley and Poison Ivy in a relationship, with promises from the showrunners that they’re not going to break them up or fill their relationship with a bunch of will they/won’t they nonsense. They’re a same sex couple and they’re damn proud and awesome about it. So great! And Joker is running for mayor! That sounds fun too!
I can’t wait for Harley Quinn season 3, kicking off on July 28.
