6 Things I Should Be Doing in Quarantine That I’m Not

I don’t know if it’s working, but I’ve been trying to go with a weirdly detached voice on this blog these past few weeks of quarantine. It’s a bit. Like, I’m slowly going stir crazy, and my blog voice should reflect that. I just think it’s funny. And if it makes me laugh, then at least it’s helping. Because it’s not like I’m doing anything else while trapped in my own home for weeks on end.

Stuck at Home List 01

I could rewatch all of Futurama

I’m doing so little productive that I might as well make a list of that too! My only other solid idea for this week was a list of my favorite zombie video games, because I’ve been playing Days Gone. But it turns out, I already did that exact list five years ago! And even if I remade that list, Days Gone wouldn’t make the cut. So how about we try and reverse psychology myself into being productive by mocking myself about what I haven’t done yet while trapped at home with little else to do…

I’m Gonna Give Extraction a Try

Stuck at home with little to do, I’m always up for something new to watch. So how about that new Chris Hemsworth movie on Netflix? It’s called Extraction and it’s on Netflix now.

I’m gonna watch it sometime today, probably. Or maybe I’ll fall asleep on my couch again. It’s really up in the air at this point in self-quarantine.

Here’s Just a Nice Song Mix-Up I Discovered on YouTube

Not everything I do in life revolves around comic books and movies. Sometimes I’ll be surfing YouTube, like one does, and stumble upon a nifty song that gets stuck in my head and I feel like sharing. Such is the case with this musical mash-up by a girl named Ale Madsen. She sings “Hey There Delilah” to the tune of “Jolene”. And I like it a lot.

She also sings the reverse: “Jolene” to the tune of “Hey There Delilah”, so she’s clearly got all of her bases covered.

This is the sort of thing we all need to keep ourselves entertained in quarantine. Because I know I haven’t been doing anything productive since all of this started…

Hench-Sized Comic Book Reviews – 4/25/20

Still trapped in quarantine. Still without new comics, for the most part. But I’ve got nothing better to do with my time so I grabbed Anti/Hero from DC Comics! It’s intended for young readers, but there weren’t any other comics I wanted to check out this week, so let’s go for it!

Cheesy Chipster 01

Meanwhile, I watched the HBO show Barry on their free streaming services and it was great! Highly recommended! I’m now playing the video game Days Gone, it’s an open world zombie game, and it’s fine. It’s filling that niche of having a distracting game to play. Still haven’t bought that Switch…

What are the rest of you up to in quarantine?

Comic Reviews: Anti/Hero.

Sonic the Hedgehog Doing a Thing

So I’ve been pretty lost in the drudgery of self-isolation these days. I wake up, work from home for a couple hours, nap on the couch watching YouTube in the afternoon, maybe play a boring video game, watch a show. It’s weird. But I like the idea of still posting on this blog and sharing fun content from around the internet. So here’s How It Should Have Ended: Sonic the Hedgehog.

Fun stuff. These people know what they’re doing and they do it well. I hope quarantine is going well for all these cartoon internet creators. Though they’ve got to be on the verge of running out of new movies to parody…so they’ll probably just go back and find old movies they’ve never done before. There will be no end to the movies to parody!
