The 6 Characters I Want on the Next MCU Avengers
A few weeks back, I put together a List of Six of the characters I wanted to see on the live action Thunderbolts movie. Then a few weeks after that, Marvel actually revealed the lineup to their live action Thunderbolts movie, and I only got one or two of them right. I still like the lineup though. Then a few weeks after that, Kevin Feige confirmed that there is no organized Avengers in the MCU at present, and that got me thinking.
Who is going to be on the Avengers roster when Kang Dynasty comes along in 2025?
So we know that in 2025, we’re going to get both Avengers: Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars. And we know that there is no official Avengers team in Phase 4, but there are a ton of new superheroes showing up in their own movies and TV shows. Marvel is going to have the pick of the litter by 2025 of who they can use to fill out the roster. And a humble blog writer like me surely has his own ideas, right? You’re gosh darn right!

The Last of Us is going to be a TV show on HBO, and now we’ve got the first ever trailer! It looks great and they picked a great song to go along with it. This trailer does a great job of setting the mood and setting up all we know about the Last of Us world.
I have high hopes for this show. I loved both games, including The Last of Us 2, and I’m sure HBO can do a good job. There have been a lot of good adaptations of books and comics and games that have crashed and burned lately. So I’m going to remain hopeful and positive, especially after this first look.
And you can always count on Alone and Forsaken by Hank Williams to be a kickass doomsday song.
The Last of Us comes to HBO next year.

Hench-Sized Comic Book Reviews – 9/24/22
Another week, another couple of new comics, and more of me ignoring all the Big Events going on right now. I should really get over that bias and try to enjoy some Big Events, eh? How’s Judgement Day going? Anyway, we’ve got new Legion of X and the start of X-Terminators!
Comic Book of the Week goes to Nightwing #96 for a truly perfect finale to the first major storyline. Let us hope we get many major storylines going forward!
Meanwhile, COVID is a beast to fully recover from, but I’m trying. I’m taking a lot of naps and wasting a lot of time playing more Total War: Warhammer 3. I haven’t even started Andor yet. What’s wrong with me? Oh yeah, COVID recovery.

Director M. Night Shyamalan is back with a new spooky movie: Knock at the Cabin. There’s a new trailer and it is sufficiently spooky, with Dave Bautista in the lead role.
Everything looks good to me! What could the mystery be? What could the twist be? I am very tempted to find out. But that means I’ll have to wait until February to find out! That’s when Knock at the Cabin comes to theaters. Not a great sign, but it’s always fun to have something to watch in February.

Disney’s Strange World Gets a Plot
The next Disney animated film, Strange World, ha snow got a bigger trailer and has revealed the actual plot of the film. It all looks good to me. Disney animated films have been on fire for years. Encanto was awesome. So my hopes are high for Strange World, even if it isn’t a musical.
Once again, Disney is going for a story about generational trauma, which is fine by me. If they’ve got a good story then go for it. Mostly the movie looks like they just let animators go full weird, as weird as they wanted. By all means, that should be fun.
Strange World comes to theaters on Nov. 23.
