Tears of the Kingdom is a Day One Buy For Me

I am going to buy Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom on the day it comes out. I own a Nintendo Switch, the first Nintendo console I’ve ever owned — not counting the handhelds. I very much enjoyed Breath of the Wild, the first ever Zelda game I really played. And I’ve even taken the week after May 12 off from work so that I’ll have plenty of time to play Tears of the Kingdom.

Mostly I wanted to take a vacation in the spring, and the timing just worked out for Tears of the Kingdom.

The game looks great. Some people might complain that it’s just a Breath of the Wild expansion pack, but I do not care. Breath of the Wild was an amazing game with an amazing game world and amazing game mechanics. If they want to just expand upon that with all new adventures and stuff to do, that’s perfectly fine with me. I am not someone constantly chasing new graphical improvements. Give me more of the same, with some tweaks and upgrades and bonus stuff, and I’ll be a happy camper. It’s like the Miles Morales sequel to the PS4 Spider-Man game. Same Manhattan, same Spidey awesomeness, but just different enough to be new and cool.

So I am fully on board for having a week off from work to play through Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, coming May 12.

Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Should Be Sweet

Good news, everybody! I own a Nintendo Switch now, so when Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is released in a couple months, I’ll be able to play it immediately! I very much enjoyed Breath of the Wild, and I’m glad to be on board for the sequel right away. Looks like they just took the first game and expanded it in a lot of great ways.

There’s driving a cool car, there’s falling through the air, there’s some underground stuff; maybe we’ll get to play as Zelda? I’m fully on board with all of this! A lot of people are raising a fuss online that this game is going to cost $70 as opposed to the usual $60…but I’ve made my piece with this. I’m an adult with a full time job and a comfortable life, I can afford an extra $10 for my video games. And yeah, I’m bragging. Wanna fight about it?

Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom comes out on May 12.

This Beavis/Link Mash-Up is Pretty Darn Funny

Sometimes we just want to kick back and have a laugh at the genius the internet brings us. I know that’s what I do with my day. And I had a good laugh at this mash-up where some internet genius takes dialogue from Beavis and Butt-Head and dubs it over one of those old Legend of Zelda cartoons. Just watch for yourself.

Now that is good, quality, weird, dumb, funny stuff. That’s what the internet was made for. All hail the creator: KhalidSMShahin! This is how masterpieces are made.
