More Batman: Caped Crusader! More President! More King of the Hill!
A couple new cartoon trailers arrived yesterday, and I’m gonna share them, because it’s one of those kinds of Thursdays.
First up is a trailer for the second season of Batman: Caped Crusader, which should be glad it’s getting a second season at all. I liked the first season just fine, but it feels like such a niche show that nobody is talking about. It’s Batman in a noir setting, and it’s a good adaptation.
Show looks good to me! No sign of Robin, so that’s disappointing. But that Joker looks like fun. And the whole show looks fun. And that’s what trailers need to accomplish: make their show worth watching.
Batman: Caped Crusader returns to Amazon on July 31.
Next up is the trailer for the second season of the King of the Hill revival. I also enjoyed the first season of the revival and I welcome more episodes!
I was a fan of King of the Hill back at the beginning, then fell off halfway through. But it’s a good show, and the revival is a strong one. That first revival season was fun. I like the characters. I like the directions they’re going in. Should be a fine continuation.
King of the Hill returns to Hulu on July 20.
Lastly, we got a full trailer for the Rick and Morty spin-off President Curtis. Looks like more Rick and Morty madness.
I still like Rick and Morty. I’m waiting for the current season to wrap up before I binge it. Obviously the show has fallen from its highest heights. But it’s usually still fun. And this President Curtis trailer looks fun. Honestly, it looks like they just set Keith David up in a room by himself with a microphone and let him just shout random and funny things, then they built the show around that — which could still be fun!
President Curtis is coming to Adult Swim and HBO Max on July 26.

6 Thoughts on Batman: Caped Crusader (Review)
Another Batman animated series has arrived and I actually watched this one. I grew up with Batman: The Animated Series in the 1990s, but now that I think about it, I never really watched The Batman, Brave and the Bold and Beware the Batman. Huh. Anyway, I decided to give caped Crusader a try and I was pleasantly satisfied.
TV Show Rating: 8/10 – Very Good
I am not someone who rallies against constant reboots. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles get rebooted every five years or so and still tell pretty much the exact same story, and I’m fine with it. Spider-Man has had no reboots in the past, like, five years than ten people. I just don’t mind if this is what studios want to spend their time and money on. Maybe I’ll watch, maybe I won’t. I decided to watch Batman: Caped Crusader and enjoyed myself for the most part. Though I fear that releasing all episodes at once is going to disappear this from the public mind quite quickly.
Either way, join me after the jump for my thoughts and review of Batman: Caped Crusader. Expect FULL SPOILERS for all 10 episodes. And feel free to share your own thoughts in the comments below!

There’s a new Batman cartoon coming! We haven’t had one of those in a few years, and this one looks to be pretty spiffy! Batman: Caped Crusader is going to focus on Batman in a 1920s/30s/40s aesthetic, I don’t know which decade this looks to be exactly. It’s all tommy guns and gangsters in full suits. I love the look and feel of the show, based on this first trailer.
As always, I hope we get Robin eventually. But even without the Boy Wonder, this looks very awesome to me. I love the look, I love the feel, I love the focus this trailer puts on detective work. I love the sense of Batman being this lone crusader working from the shadows, instead of already being an omnipresent superhero of might. This trailer looks great!
Batman: Caped Crusader is coming to Amazon Prime starting Aug. 1!
