Family Guy Cosplayer is the Greatest

More props to this guy! I love New York Comic-Con! I went as Henchman 21 once and it was just radical. I couldn’t do the voice though. If I could do the voice, I’d be getting major babes. This Peter Griffin cosplayer knows how to do it right! I believe this is part of a documentary, which itself is pretty neat.

6 Superheroes Who Could Use a Modern Costume Change

What’s in a costume? When it comes to superheroes, pretty much everything! Last month saw the debut of a hip new modern costume for Spider-Woman, a character who hasn’t had a costume change in decades. The new suit is definitely trendy, with a focus on looking like realistic clothing over colorful spandex. And that jacket is just the snazziest!

Jackets are so hot right now

Spider-Woman is only the latest in a long line of superheroes getting new, hip costumes, and I love it! The new Batgirl looks very trendy, Hawkeye suits up in T-shirts, and even Captain America traded his old fashioned chain mail for a costume that more closely matches modern military uniforms. I’m a huge fan of this trend, and I think there are a few other superheroes who could use a modern costume makeover.

Six of them, in fact. Join me after the jump!

The Ant-Man Extravaganza!

Here it is, folks! The first full length Ant-Man trailer! Feast your eyes!

Woohoo! That was pretty rad! Maybe not as thrill-a-minute as the first Avengers: Age of Ultron trailer or any of the Guardians of the Galaxy trailers, but Ant-Man looks pretty awesome The suit looks great, Paul Rudd looks amazing, and the whole thing is starting off on the right foot! It’s a bit darker and more serious than I expected, but there are moments of levity and comedy. That’s a plus. And I wish we got a little more Rudd. But hey, it’s a first trailer, and it was made for TV. Cut it some slack! I’m still as excited as ever for this movie! I know Marvel won’t let me down!

In fact, they spent the whole day hyping this up! Check out these promotional shots that came out today, from the first poster to the first look at Paul Rudd in costume!

I like clever movie posters

I may have to buy a magazine…

Man oh man, Ant-Man is looking fabulicious!

Oh, and, speaking of extravaganzas, this was my 2,000th blog post! How’s that for cool?

Only Slightly New Peanuts Trailer, But It Serves My Needs

The first full trailer for the new Peanuts movie was Christmas-themed, as was the style last month. Well a new trailer has hit the web that is almost exactly like the last trailer, except it removes the Christmas decorations. Me thinks this was the original trailer all along, but somebody had the bright idea last time to associate the Peanuts with Christmas.

I’m still happy with what I see of the animation. Maybe this won’t be a big mess.

But the larger point here is that today is movie trailer day! For you see, tonight, during the premiere of Agent Carter, Marvel is going to debut the first full-length Ant-Man trailer! I’m on pins and needles! So I wanted to use this Peanuts trailer as a lead in to the Ant-Man trailer later today. Maybe it will link to the web early, or maybe we’ll all have to wait until tonight to see the trailer hit the web.

Whenever it arrives, I promise you fine folks, I will drop whatever I’m doing and post it!

Let’s hope I’m not holding a baby…

Disney Hires Good People

Did you know that, when I was a wee little Sean, my dream job was to be a costumed mascot in Disney World? That would have been a pretty magical life! But I would have had to be in costume. No way could I pull off something like this Gaston guy.

Apparently this guy is getting kind of Internet famous. Not only is he winning push-up contests, but he once had a battle of wits with a 6-year-old girl.

That’s good people. Though I’m sure I could have handled myself well enough in my Eeyore costume.
