Look Who is Maybe Coming Back!
This probably counts as a spoiler, but I don’t feel like putting it after the jump, so sue me. As part of the big X-Men push, one of the upcoming comics will be a relaunch of Astonishing X-Men. Personally, I don’t see why this comic exists.
But now I do. Behold this Tweet from senior editor Mark Paniccia about a guest appearance in Astonishing X-Men #2!
Look who is back!
You’re god damned right that’s Multiple Man!
Dead only a few short months ago in Death of X #1, I’m quite curious under what circumstances my all-time favorite comic book character is back. Is it really him and his death is being undone? Is it a dupe? An alternate reality?
I wasn’t planning on touching Astonishing X-Men before, but I damn sure am now! Expect a full report on Madrox’s return once the information actually becomes available.

The Top 6 Wind-Themed Comic Book Characters
I spent the better part of last week in the hospital with pneumonia, which stinks. The doctors sent me home with oxygen until my lungs are fully healed, and that stinks too. But that sounds like the perfect reason to finally do a List of Six on wind and air-themed comic book characters!

These would make a good superhero theme
I’m working towards summoning Captain Planet. We’ve already got lists for fire and water superheroes; wind was the next logical choice. Unfortunately, there aren’t too many wind-based superheroes or villains, so I had to dig pretty deep on this one! Still, we’ve only got two more powers to call before we can take pollution down to zero! Let’s get to it!
Join me after the jump for the six coolest comic book characters who rely on wind power to do their thing!
Wonder Woman Gets a Badass Final Trailer
I dig the song in this final Wonder Woman trailer, but the action and explosions cover up what sounds like really cool lyrics. Still, that’s a weird, minor nitpick. The rest of the trailer is pretty awesome.
We’ve got a month to go until Wonder Woman hits theaters, and there’s a lot riding on the film. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is amazing, so Marvel is already kicking butt. Can DC actually put out a good movie for once? Dare we still have hope?
I guess we’ll find out in a month on June 2.

The First Defenders Trailer Kicks Butt!
One of the big things I missed by being in the hospital this past week was the release of the first trailer for The Defenders! Stupid illness! I had to watch this thing on my phone on hospital wi-fi until I was able to get home. Fortunately, the trailer was awesome in both forms!
Everybody looks cool together, the dialogue seems nifty and, hopefully, the story is good. Hopefully it’s not just the Defenders fighting an endless wave of Hand ninjas.
The Defenders arrives on Netflix on Aug. 18 — a weekend I’ll be out of town at a comic book convention. So I’ll have to wait a bit before I can watch it. Alas. It’s a cruel world.

Feelin’ Fine!
Hey everybody! You may have noticed that I haven’t posted anything since Wednesday, including my weekly comic book reviews. Don’t worry, everything is pretty fine now! Turns out I had a touch of pneumonia and spent a couple days in the hospital recovering.

These things happen. They suck, but they happen. The hospital treated me well, gave me some antibiotics and now I’m back home, pretty much right as rain. I haven’t yet figured out how to make blog posts on my phone, so I didn’t bother with anything during my stay — and I know I missed some good trailers!
So forgive the slowness of updates over the next few days. Just readjusting to life on the outside again!
