I’ve Only Just Learned of the Awesomeness that is Pibby
So April Fool’s Day came and went this past Friday, and apparently Adult Swim did this whole thing where they have their shows invaded by a dangerous black static. It’s a crazy zombie horror thing, and is a fun way to do April Fool’s.
But in learning about this gag, I also learned about this little short for a show called Come and Learn with Pibby. It debuted last Halloween and I totally missed it! And I’m sad I did, because this looks rad as hell!
This looks awesome! Is there going to be a real Come and Learn with Pibby show? That would be bloody brilliant. Anyway, now that I know about Pibby, I’m very happy to share knowledge of Pibby with you, too.
And you can watch the entire block of Adult Swim glitch stuff right here.

Hench-Sized Comic Book Reviews – 4/2/22
I think I’m running out of comics that I actually read. A ton of new comics come out each week, but it seems my actual buy/read/review pile keeps getting smaller. We’ve only got a couple of Marvel comics this week!
Comic Book of the Week goes to Immortal X-Men #1. Not necessarily because I enjoyed it the most, but because it’s probably the most important comic I read this week.
Meanwhile, I enjoyed the first episode of Moon Knight. Plenty of good stuff. Nothing I would rave about just yet, though. I also finished Our Flag Means Death on HBO Max and that show was a hoot. So it definitely gets my recommendation.
Comic Reviews: Amazing Spider-Man #93, Immortal X-Men #1 and X-Cellent #2.

I love April Fool’s Day. It’s a fun day. But I forgot it was coming up and didn’t plan anything special for the blog today. So all I’ve got is this Honest Trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home. It’s simple, it’s easy, and I can worry about all my other problems instead.
That was fun, right? It was a mild amusement that killed about 6 minutes of my day. Gang, you just don’t know. Sometimes your mind is just elsewhere. At least there’s a bunch of pranks and gag articles I can read on the internet today. That will get me through more than just 6 minutes. Also, Morbius this weekend. Definitely not looking forward to that.

Top Gun 2 is Finally Coming Out
Top Gun: Maverick has been waiting to come out for a million years now. Because the world needs to follow up on the adventures of Maverick, who’s real name is apparently Pete Mitchell. That just seems ordinary. Anyway, we’ve got a new trailer for Top Gun: Maverick to herald it’s arrival on the big screen in two months.
And yeah, it looks fine. I’m no major fan of the original Top Gun. But I enjoy movies. And this will, theoretically, be well made. So we’ll see. But perhaps a lot of people are really excited about this one!
Top Gun: Maverick comes out on May 27.

6 Spider-Man Villains Who Don’t Deserve Their Own Movie (Just Like Morbius)
At long last, the Morbius movie is scheduled to arrive in theaters this week (barring any last second delays!). Early reviews peg this thing as a total flop, and I expected nothing less. The trailers looked bad, for one, and for two, Morbius sucks. He just plain sucks as a character.
Honestly, the behind-the-scenes studio meddling in the Spider-Man franchise is sometimes more interesting than the movies themselves. Sony is on this roller coaster of making good movies, then bad movies, then worse movies, then throwing Marvel a bone and making incredible movies, to getting a big head and making bad movies again. The idea that Sony is determined to make their own Spider-Man villain mini-universe of films is hilarious to me. They’re already working on a stand alone Kraven the Hunter movie. When will it end?
Hopefully before any of the following characters get their own stand alone movies! Join me after the jump for six crappy Spider-Man villains who will hopefully never get their own movies.
