I Hear They’re Going to Make Another Mortal Kombat Game
New Flash: There are probably going to be new Mario games in the future too. The new one – Mortal Kombat X – was announced today with a fancy pants teaser trailer.
Everybody expects to get more information at this year’s E3 conference, so we’ll wait until then. For now, I will giggle to myself at how proud someone must have been to come up with that title. But then I’ll be disappointed that it’s not a crossover game with the X-Men, because we don’t yet live in a world where that can come true.
Personally, I still don’t own a next gen console, so this game is probably going to be out of my reach. But that’s not going to stop me from hoping Smoke is a playable character.
Blue Shell Blues
Looks like at least Nintendo WiiU (Wii2?) understands the power of the wacky Internet thing. They commissioned a song from the Brett Domino Trio to commemorate the new Mario Kart.
But seeing as how I barely have a Wii at my place, I won’t be playing. Still, that doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy a wacky Internet song. Maybe ‘Blue Shell Blues’ will become the new ‘Ironic’.
New Batman: Arkham Knight Trailer Continues to Taunt My Lack of Next Gen
I don’t own a next gen console, either an X-Box One or a Playstation 4. And despite a lifetime of loving video games, I currently have no desire to drop hundreds of dollars on either of those machines. So what the heck am I supposed to do about Batman: Arkham Knight this fall?!
I have been a big fan of every single Batman: Arkam game so far. I’m not one of those guys who nitpicks every little thing, so yeah, I enjoyed Arkham Origins just fine. I’m sure I will love playing Arkham Knight. But man…it’s going to be a hard sell. Maybe I’ll spend the money to upgrade my computer so I can get the PC version. That will probably exist, right?
Also, still no sign of Robin…
Mario is a terrible older brother
Hotdiggedydemon, a group of animators who brought you numerous My Little Pony and other cartoon parodies, presents this masterpiece. I like to think of it as a tribute to “Player 2s” everywhere.
A Game Too Awesome to Exist
Angry Birds Pokemon. Oh Internet, sometimes I think I’m in love with you.
This beautiful mash-up was brought to us by Adrian Jensen, one of those creative Internet folks that fills our lives with joyful things. I would play this in a heartbeat.
