Mintberry Crunch! And Other Cool Video Game Announcements!

E3 was held this weekend, the big video game foofarah where everything is announced and all our dreams come true. I heard there’s going to be a new Gears of War, a remake of Final Fantasy VII and a bunch of other cool stuff. Since I still haven’t upgraded my graphics card on my computer, I’m likely going to be very behind on all of these new games. But I decided to collect some of the trailers, because they look neat, and because it’s a Tuesday.

First up, South Park: The Fractured but Whole, a sequel to The Stick of Truth.

Then we’ve got a new trailer for Batman: Arkham Knight, which comes out next week…and which…and which I won’t be able to play yet. Oh…oh god…

Then we’ve got two trailers for the new Star Wars Battlefront.

There were tons of other video games announced this weekend, but I think these three were the tops for me! Now I just need to sell a kidney…

Fallout 4 Will Soon Be Upon Us

I can still remember the day I randomly decided to give Fallout 3 a try. My friend Alyssa had been a huge fan of the entire franchise, and was excited to grab the new game. Well I had some money to burn and an undying love of video games, so I randomly picked up a copy.

I will never look back! From Fallout 3 to New Vegas to Elder Scrolls: Skyrim to everything else Bethesda Game Studios is going to produce, I will be there.

Especially for Fallout 4, unveiled today!

That game looks gorgeous! It’s like a bigger, more detailed, more amazing Fallout 3. It’s the same post-apocalypse, a similar vault dweller, but everything else looks amazing! Airships! Massive cities! More old-timey music! Ron Perlman!

And it’s going to be set in Boston! I know some friends of mine who are going to be very happy for that!

No release date in the video, but one hopes it’s after I can upgrade my PC with a better graphics card.

The Arkham Knight Robin Looks More Exciting!

We’ve got our first close-up look at Robin from Batman: Arkham Knight! I think he looks great!

He’s very similar to his look from Arkham City, which is expected, and I liked Arkham City just as much. I dig the armor, I dig the haircut; I dig the whole thing.

But…I don’t yet have that upgraded PC or the money to make it happen. And now I’ve got less than a month to get it together!

Mario Kart Fury Road

I really need to make time to go see Mad Max Fury Road. I’m hearing amazing things! But I’m a busy, lazy man, Henchies.

There’s also the fact that I’ve only ever seen one Mad Max movie prior to this. I understand one doesn’t need to see the previous movies to understand Fury Road, so that’s cool. But I still gotta find the time somehow. Big props to sundbergkr for today’s video!

The Orcs in Warcraft Are Going to Look Amazing!

I have been a Warcraft fan since the very first strategy game way back in the 90s. And since then, I’ve also been a huge orc fan (For the Horde!). So I have been excited about every bit of news coming out on the upcoming Warcraft movie, because the filmmakers sound determined to make the orcs as compelling in the film as they are in the game.

We can finally see the fruits of their labor with the first really good looks as Orgrim Doomhammer, the lead orc in the movie. Check this guy out!

Warrior born!

The pictures debuted on Wired.

The level of detail is astounding! Warcraft has always had amazing, computer-generated cut scenes. If they can bring that level of detail to the movie, and up its game to cinematic levels, we could be looking at some gorgeous CGI characters.

Here’s a better look at Orgrim.

“Lok’tar ogar!”

That’s actor Robert Kazinsky under that CGI, which they molded to match his face. You may remember him as the angry Jaeger pilot in Pacific Rim.

Everything I’ve seen and heard about the Warcraft movie so far has been amazing. I’ve definitely got my hopes up. You can check out some of the previous reveals here.
