Starcher Trek Goes Where All Nerds Wish They Could Go

Some enterprising geeks decided to dub dialogue from Archer over the old animated Star Trek show just for kicks and giggles!

Why can’t we live in a world where this sort of thing happens more often?

Also, all you blog fans, I’m still sort of recovering/unpacking from my trip to Boston Comic-Con over the weekend. It didn’t help that I had to go to work this morning. Why I didn’t add Monday to my vacation, I’ll never know. Anyway, stay tuned this week for a recap of my Con adventure and tons of cosplay pictures!

Honest Trailers Tackles the Big One

I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve seen from the Screen Junkies team, and now they up the ante by giving the Honest Trailers treatment to the worst superhero movie ever made. I’m talking, of course, about Batman and Robin.

I can’t believe young, teenage Sean loved this movie, and Batman Forever. I’m fairly certain I was just blind and dumb as a kid. High school straightened me right out. Now I dislike and giggle at these films with the appropriate amount of disdain.

The Artsiest Fan-Film You Will Probably Ever See

The following 17-minute movie is about a comic book character, but I’m not going to spoil who. You’re just going to have to watch and enjoy.

The little movie is written and directed by Joe Lynch, the same guy behind that Punisher fan-film Dirty Laundry from a few years ago. This film is long, sure, and it’s in an odd black and white style, similar to a classic foreign film called Man Bites Dog. But don’t let that scare you. Like I said, it’s the artsiest and neatest fan film you will probably ever see.

At Trask Industries, the Future is Giant Robots

In one of the funnest marketing stunts of all time, the people behind X-Men: Days of Future Past have started up a whole, legit-looking website for Trask Industries, makers of the Sentinel robots.

It’s a pretty neat site. There isn’t a lot about the new movie, but I rather enjoy when companies go this extra mile just to be awesome. I hope somebody had a lot of fun designing and implementing that website. Also, if you didn’t know, Peter Dinklage is playing Trask. So that’s jut badass. Again, click here to visit the promotional site. It’s a fun way to kill a few minutes of afternoon.

Daria’s High School Reunion

Anybody else watch Daria when you were younger? I loved that show! Even more than Beavis & Butthead.

Leave it to College Humor to be both awesome and nostalgic. Though why Quinn would be involved in Daria’s class reunion doesn’t make any sense. Silly College Humor. At least they nailed it with Aubrey Plaza as Daria. Good times with that one.
