6 Answers I Need from Baylan Skoll and Shin Hati
The Ahsoka TV show is almost over and there’s only one thing I really care about: the secret history and potential futures of Baylan Skoll and Shin Hati. I haven’t seen last night’s episode yet, so maybe every question on this list has already been answered, but I wrote this list anyway. These characters are super damn cool.
I think everyone agrees that Baylan and Shin are the best part about the Ahsoka show. It’s a good show, it’s fine. But does anybody really care about Sabine getting back to Ezra? I watched all of Rebels, but I really, really don’t care. Should we really be all that concerned about Grand Admiral Thrawn when the sequels exist? No thank you. I want to know more about the super cool, super mysterious dark Force-users who have their own agenda and aren’t super predictable.
So join me after the jump for six questions I have about Baylan Skoll and Shin Hati, even if they are super obvious questions.

The next season of Rick and Morty comes out next month, and with it new voices for the main characters. Original voice actor and co-creator Justin Roiland was revealed to be a super creep, so he’s out. They hired sound-alikes to do the voices of Rick and Morty and you can check out how well they do in this new trailer.
I think they’re fine. Sometimes you can’t tell there’s a difference, and sometimes you really can. I don’t think it’s going to bother me. I’ll definitely still watch and enjoy the new season. I’ve started watching Solar Opposites with the new voice, and it’s fine. We’ll all get through this.
Rick and Morty season 7 comes to Cartoon Network on Oct. 15.

New/Old Doctor Who Incoming!
There’s a new bunch of Doctor Who 60th anniversary specials coming up, and they will hopefully be good! I still haven’t watched the final season of Jodie Whittaker’s run, because those seasons weren’t as good. But David Tennant is back! And Catherine Tate, my favorite companion! I have no real opinion on Russell T. Davies. I prefer Steven Moffat, but that’s neither here nor there.
Check out this trailer for the Doctor Who specials! Nothing is really spoiled, other than the actors already announced as playing the Doctor.
Looks like a lot of fun! I really want to get caught up on that season I’ve missed and be back on board Doctor Who. The show will always be great. Just gotta find the time and energy to get caught up. If everything moves to Disney+, that will help, since not everybody has every streaming service.
I very much look forward to more Donna Noble! The three specials arrive on…wherever these things currently stream…in November.

There’s Gonna Be More Out Flag Means Death
Our Flag Means Death is a super fun pirate show, and one that evolved into a really fun pirate love story. And thankfully, we’re going to get a second season, and we’re going to get it soon! So good TV all around.
Taika Waititi and Rhys Darby are pretty damn perfect in this show, with a great supporting cast around them. The pirate stuff has also been really fun. They put the production into it. So if you’ve slept on this show already, give it a watch and get caught up, because it’s coming back!
Our Flag Means Death returns to Max on Oct. 5.

Aquaman and Kite-Man, Hell Yeah!
A pair of trailers for some really fun DC projects dropped yesterday and both were pretty cool. We got the first trailer for Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, and it looks pretty insane. I’m not sure if it looks like a great film, or if it looks like the slapdash movie we all fear it’s going to be.
This trailer is a lot. There’s so much going on, and a bunch of it seems like an odd choice. I know it’s a classic trope to have the villain of the first film come back as a pal in the second, but are Arthur and Orm really going to be that key of a buddy pair? Was their relationship really that powerful in the first film that we want to see them team up? At least Jason Momoa looks like he’s having fun. And Black Manta looks cool as heck.
My only nitpick is that, while the trailer does reference the seven kingdoms, I didn’t catch any specific mention or tease of this titular lost kingdom. Shouldn’t that be a bigger plot point?
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom comes to theaters on Dec. 20.
Meanwhile, on the little screen, we’ve got the first trailer for Kite-Man, Hell Yeah!, the spin-off from the excellent Harley Quinn cartoon. This looks like a ton of fun.
I really love the Harley Quinn cartoon, even if I’m many episodes behind on its new fourth season. Kite-Man has been a super fun character, and I am very much looking forward to this show. It should be a hoot and a half.
Kite-Man, Hell Yeah! comes to Max sometime next year.
