Some Sweet DC Comic-Con Trailers

Today is the last day of San Diego Comic-Con, and I’m sure they’ve got some big news coming out. Will anything top what Marvel Studios revealed last night? Who knows! But DC put out a couple of really awesome trailers I wanted to share. There’s a whole bunch of trailers from the event, but I’m gonna sparse them out.

First up is a new trailer for The Penguin, which still looks like an awesome, gritty crime drama, which is exactly what I want this show to be.

I wish we had more references to Batman in this trailer, because he should be a presence in this movie, but I’ll take what I can get. Cristin Milioti looks awesome of Sophia Falcone, and it sounds like they’re doing a bit of The Hangman storyline. Should be a blast! And Colin Farrell looks crazy good!

The Penguin is coming to Max on Sept. 19.

Then we got the first trailer for Creature Commandos, the animated series that kicks off James Gunn’s new DC Universe! And it looks great, as far as I’m concerned.

Looks fun, looks wacky, looks like what I’d expect Creature Commandos to look like. So I’m jazzed for this show. and I’m jazzed to see some of these characters appear in live action afterwards, like Rick Flagg Sr. joining the second season of Peacemaker. So these are definitely some shows I’m looking forward to watching later this year!

Creature Commandos is coming to Max in December.

Dropout’s Brennan and Izzy Are Getting a Special!

I’m a big Dropout fan. If you’re not familiar, College Humor saved itself by transforming into its own, independent streaming service called Dropout. It’s the home of such shows as Game Changer, Make Some Noise, Um, Actually and their live action tabletop role-playing show, Dimension 20. It’s great stuff! And I want to share more of their content here because I can.

So here’s a behind-the-scenes trailer for the stage show of Brennan Lee Mulligan and Izzy Roland, the husband and wife team at the heart of Dropout. It doesn’t give much away about the show itself, and is mostly just some adorable interview time between the two main stars.

Dropout is only $5 a month and it’s well worth the price! They constantly have new shows coming out, and now have a huge back catalogue of awesomeness to watch. I’m not sponsored by them or anything of the like. I just want to share stuff I’m really into. This stage show should be a hoot when it comes to the service in a week or two. Brennan and Izzy are a hoot. I can’t wait to watch!

Get Dropout!

Rick and Morty is Gonna Be a Wild Anime

I still enjoy watching Rick and Morty, even if it’s heyday is behind us. I still enjoy watching South Park, too. I’m just that kind of cartoon guy. And I definitely enjoy when shows like this take a big swing. Rick and Morty has now produced 10 episodes of Rick and Morty: The Anime, and it looks wild.

So yeah, not entirely sure what to make of that trailer other than just being generally excited! It looks wild, it looks weird, it’s made from real anime people. The show is already pretty wild, but this one could be so weirdly fun. I’m fully on board and can’t wait to watch!

Rick and Morty: The Anime is coming to Adult Swim and Max on Aug. 15.

Agatha All Along is Actually Happening

Once upon a time, Marvel Studios felt unbeatable, and they greenlit a Wandavision spin-off about Agatha Harkness. Kathryn Hahn and Aubrey Plaza are amazing, but can they make a good show out of this character? The first trailer sure looks witchy and spooky enough.

I think it looks alright. And I’ll definitely be watching. I still have all sorts of faith in Marvel and will gladly watch what they put out. So bring on Agatha Harkness! Give her all sorts of spooky fun adventures. Make it a good show! We’ll find out later this year.

Agatha All Along comes to Disney+ on Sept. 18.

Kite Man: Hell Yeah! Is Gonna Be a Fun Show!

I’ll admit that I was rather disappointed in the latest and fourth season of Harley Quinn. It had lost some of the snap of the first couple of seasons. And that’s probably because the showrunners in the beginning spun off to make Kite Man: Hell Yeah! so I am now very excited to see what they’ve produced!

The trailer looks like a hoot! Funny, wacky, and with some solid, enjoyable characters. We already know that Kite Man is awesome. Now we’ve got Golden Glider to add to the fun. And Bane is back, so that’s awesome. I expect great things from this show! And I hope the fifth season of Harley Quinn is also good!

Kite Man: Hell Yeah! comes to Max on July 18!
