Secret Level Looks Like a Good Watch
We recently got another, fuller trailer for the upcoming video game anthology show Secret Level, from the same brilliant people who made Love, Death, Robots. I think it looks pretty neat!
I’ve always wanted the people who make those awesome, highly detailed World of Warcraft cut scenes to make a full WoW TV show. Secret Levels doesn’t have WoW, but this animation looks very similar in animation. So this is going to be close, or even the closest thing we’ll ever get. Awesome, highly detailed animation for a bunch of different video games. I’ll take it!
Secret Level comes to Amazon Prime on Dec. 10, so next weekend!

Let’s Start the Week with a Fun TV Show Trailer Montage From Disney Again
A week or two ago, Disney+ put out a trailer for a bunch of upcoming Marvel shows. It was a fun watch. Late last week, they put out another trailer for upcoming Disney+ shows that aren’t Marvel…but with some Marvel? I don’t know the rules of this trailer, but we’ve got looks at Ironheart and Andor season 2, and a bunch of other stuff. Whatever the case may be, this is a good enough video to start a Monday.
And that’s our Monday, folks! Andor season 2 looks good. Ironheart still looks good to me. I’ve enjoyed everything there is to see about Skeleton Crew, also from Star Wars. And I have yet to even watch the third season of The Bear, so I’m behind there. But I’m a man who enjoys having new content to watch. It really keeps me going in these dark, horrible days.
Too bad we have to wait until 2025 for all this stuff. No, wait, Skeleton Crew comes out at the start of December. So that should be fun.

6 Thoughts on The Penguin (Review)
Hoo boy! We have been feasting good on television this year! I had high hopes for The Penguin after we saw the first trailer, and even I couldn’t imagine this show being so purely awesome. This is a Best Show of the Year contender, to be sure!
TV Show Rating: 10/10 – Fantastic
I very much enjoyed The Batman when it came out in 2022 and very much looked forward to expanding that universe. We knew about the Penguin show even back then, but surely none of us could have predicted how great it would be. Now that it’s over, we can bask in just what a good job everyone is doing in this universe and with these Batman characters. This is likely a very different beast than the Batman we’re going to get in the DCU, and that’s fine by me. I can handle a world with multiple different Batman at once.
Join me after the jump for my thoughts and review of the first season of The Penguin. Expect FULL SPOILERS for the entire season. And feel free to share your own thoughts in the comments below.

This weekend delivered us some awesome Marvel movie trailers, and yesterday delivered the trailer for the third season of the What If…? cartoon show! I like What If…? It’s a fun show with neat animation. Sometimes they really have fun with it. Let’s hope they have fun with this season.
Yep, that was a really great trailer ending! They made the right choice with that inclusion. That’s what’s going to get people talking. The rest of the trailer looked fun…but I’ll be honest, heh…when it was just people’s faces and not costumes, I couldn’t tell who anybody was. I knew the cowboy was Shang-Chi because of a previous trailer with closed captions. Perhaps I should have turned closed captions on with this trailer, then I’d know who was talking.
Definitely didn’t need them for Storm talking!
The third and final season of What If…? arrives on Dec. 22 for another Christmastime marathon!

How About Another Look at Star Wars: Skeleton Crew?
What a couple of weeks. Election anxiety and life anxiety are eating me alive, or at least they’re eating at the parts of me that can focus on blogging. So I haven’t posted much. But it’s Monday, I’ve got to get to work, I’m cold, and I’m finally posting this Star Wars: Skeleton Crew trailer from late last week. This show definitely looks fun, as far as I’m concerned.
This looks fun. A 1980’s style kids adventure flick set in the Star Wars universe? That sounds neat! Star Wars is definitely transitioning into something similar to the superhero genre, where they explore other genres within the existing framework. Sounds fine to me! We’re always going to get new Star Wars stuff, so they might as well be experimental and interesting, and, of course, good.
Star Wars: Skeleton Crew is coming to Disney+ starting on Dec. 3.
