Mario Kart Fury Road

I really need to make time to go see Mad Max Fury Road. I’m hearing amazing things! But I’m a busy, lazy man, Henchies.

There’s also the fact that I’ve only ever seen one Mad Max movie prior to this. I understand one doesn’t need to see the previous movies to understand Fury Road, so that’s cool. But I still gotta find the time somehow. Big props to sundbergkr for today’s video!

The Hero We Need Right Now, the Documentary We Deserve

Remember Batkid? Of course you do, how could you forget something so adorable? Well if you did forget, there’s a new documentary to look forward to!

It’s days like these when I rue the fact that I don’t live in ‘select cities’. Maybe this’ll come to Netflix someday. Or…I dunno. Where does one find documentaries?

Remember the Harry Potter Movies? The Last One was Full of Sin!

Cinema Sins has finally reached the end of the Harry Potter movies with a 2-part blast against The Deathly Hallows. Granted, some of these ‘sins’ are answered in the book, but at least they’re trying. Personally, I recommend watching the Rifftrax of this  movie if you can!

The Orcs in Warcraft Are Going to Look Amazing!

I have been a Warcraft fan since the very first strategy game way back in the 90s. And since then, I’ve also been a huge orc fan (For the Horde!). So I have been excited about every bit of news coming out on the upcoming Warcraft movie, because the filmmakers sound determined to make the orcs as compelling in the film as they are in the game.

We can finally see the fruits of their labor with the first really good looks as Orgrim Doomhammer, the lead orc in the movie. Check this guy out!

Warrior born!

The pictures debuted on Wired.

The level of detail is astounding! Warcraft has always had amazing, computer-generated cut scenes. If they can bring that level of detail to the movie, and up its game to cinematic levels, we could be looking at some gorgeous CGI characters.

Here’s a better look at Orgrim.

“Lok’tar ogar!”

That’s actor Robert Kazinsky under that CGI, which they molded to match his face. You may remember him as the angry Jaeger pilot in Pacific Rim.

Everything I’ve seen and heard about the Warcraft movie so far has been amazing. I’ve definitely got my hopes up. You can check out some of the previous reveals here.

Falcon and Crossbones are Looking Pretty Fly

See what I did there? I hope so, because I’m rather proud of that pun. Either way, filming is under way for Captain America 3: Civil War, and photographic sleuths have captured the first images of Falcon and Crossbones in costume — and they look pretty great!

Falcon is sporting his full costume from the end of Avengers: Age of Ultron. I like it! Falcon has had some pretty bad costumes in his comic book career, so I’m excited for this more realistic, mechanical looking suit. I’m also grateful that they did mix in some red and white.

Sadly, no Redwing…yet

Actor Anthony Mackie has been great as Sam Wilson, so I’m excited to see him return for the threequel.

Actor Frank Grillo also looks pretty intense as supervillain Crossbones, a carry over from Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Remember the semi-friendly SHIELD agent who turned out to be a bad guy, Brock Rumlow? He’s back as Crossbones in the new movie.

Though I’m a little disappointed in how suited up he is. Crossbones, especially recently, usually wears standard military-esque gear with just a skull mask. This costume is full-on super-villain.

Super-villain style

And check out those gauntlets on his hands! Probably meant for punching the super soldier Captain America.

Civil War is going to be an exciting film! Too bad we have to wait a whole year! It’s a good thing we have Ant-Man to tide us over.
