More Ant-Man Niftiness!
There’s a new Ant-Man mini-trailer/TV spot hitting the Internet today, to go along with some neat new posters that tie the character to the Avengers. I like the new spot, I like the new posters, so I’ma gonna share’em with y’all!
I hope you’re looking forward to Ant-Man as much as I am. It’s a month away! Or a month and a week. Just too long a time, really.

This New Matt Damon in Space Movie Looks Pretty Good
The first trailer for The Martian crash-landed on the Internet today, about astronaut Matt Damon getting stranded on the red planet. It looks pretty good.
The Martian comes out in November and I think I’m in! I like Matt Damon, I like space, and the world needs more movies set on Mars. Somebody has to land on Mars in my lifetime! Come on!

A Little Bit More Ant-Man
Not a full trailer, but here’s a new Ant-Man TV spot with some new footage. Good times.
Ant-Man comes out on July 17! That’s more than a month away. Why do we have to keep waiting? Why is that how the universe works! Why can’t we experience everything like Dr. Manhattan?

Movie Bebop and Rocksteady Are Going to Be the Most Accurate Characters Ever
I’m very excited that Bebop and Rocksteady are going to be in the new Ninja Turtles movie – but set photos have revealed that they are going to be intensely accurate characters. Check out these set photos.
That’s Gary Anthony Williams as Bebop and WWE wrestler Sheamus as Rocksteady, both before their mutations into a warthog and a rhino respectively. Just look at them. They look exactly like the classic cartoon versions of the characters, to an insane degree. There are pictures on the web of Williams even wearing the classic vest.
In a movie that finally gave the Ninja Turtles themselves unique and individual looks, why go so weirdly cartoony on Bebop and Rocksteady? Why not re-invent them as well?
I suppose it doesn’t matter in the end. I liked the first movie, and I’m excited to see them in the second! I hope they’re not too campy. The writers should read the current IDW comic book series for an amazing portrayal of Bebop and Rocksteady.

The New Favorite Movie Trailer Sound
Everybody is familiar with that BWAAAHHH! sound that was in every movie trailer following Inception. Well Internet and movie sleuth Toxyoi has discovered the new favorite sound – which actually sounds kind of like the original sound in reverse.
I wonder how this happens. I’m pretty sure that movie trailers are made out-of-house, meaning they’re not made by the regular film production staff. So there are separate trailer-making studios out there. Are they constantly running focus groups to find the cool new sound? Do they have signs on the walls saying, “Use this sound for the time being”? Do they think nobody will notice and just do it to save time? Are they really so in love with the sound that they want to use it everywhere?
Do they think this is a game?!
