It’s Spider-Man 2 Day!
The day is finally here! After waiting many years, after waiting all day this week, after waiting the hours of my work day, it’s finally time to play and enjoy Spider-Man 2! Granted, I’m posting this in the morning and won’t be able to play until I get out of work later…but still, let’s be happy!
Here’s the launch trailer. Looks great.
This game is gonna be a blast! The last game, and the Miles Morales spin-off, were amazing. And I’ve got a 3-day weekend ahead of me, so I plan to play all weekend long. Gonna swing and web to my heart’s content! I hope everyone else is having just as much fun.

6 Marvel Characters Who Could Support a Traditional TV Show
Word came down last week that Marvel is scrapping most of the work done on the upcoming Daredevil: Born Again TV show, and that they’re looking to make TV shows more like classic TV productions. This is both dismaying and uplifting news. On the one hand, I’m sorry to hear about any problems at Marvel Studios. On the other hand, I’m all for them doing what needs to be done to put out the best possible product.
I have enjoyed pretty much all of the Marvel Disney+ shows so far, with few exceptions. But it’s interesting to learn that Marvel leaned into making the shows like movies instead of making the shows like shows. That explains a lot. And it’ll be interesting to see Marvel make their shows more like traditional shows, with showrunners, pilots and planned seasons going forward. To that end, why don’t I stick my nose in where it doesn’t belong and offer some suggestions? Marvel has a whole host of characters and teams that haven’t been used yet, and who I think could make for a fun, multi-season, traditional TV show.
Join me after the jump for all the characters I think could support their own multi-season TV show, without the need to tie into the movies.

Comic releases are weird. Last week saw the release of a metric ton of comics I’m reading, so much so that I had to skip a few reviews just so I could fit this column into my busy schedule. But this week, I’ve only got two reviews because not much came out that I’m interested in. If Black Panther and Fantastic Four came out this week, I would have caught up and reviewed them!
Comic Book of the Week goes to Avengers #6, mostly for a backup feature starring a more obscure Marvel superhero, Firebird!
Meanwhile, a week from now, we’ll all be playing Spider-Man 2! Until then, I toil away on a Cyberpunk 2077 replay. Can I beat the game by Friday? Honestly, probably not, but I’ll give it a try. Beyond that, I’m enjoying Loki season 2, Lower Decks season 4 and the second season of Killing It. Have you seen that? Really fun show.
Comic Reviews: Avengers #6 and Batman and Robin #2.

This was a crazy week for comics! New, highly anticipated comics, like Transformers and G.O.D.S.! Big comics like the new Batman! So many comics that I had to skip some of those I enjoy just to fit them all in during my week!
Comic Book of the Week goes to Birds of Prey #2 for a really stylish issue that does a lot of really cool things with art and color.
Meanwhile, I enjoyed the final episode of Ahsoka, though the series overall was rather disappointing. Thankfully, the first episode of Loki season 2 was a hoot! So the shows just keep coming. And Cyberpunk 2077 is as fun as I remember, though it’s not all that different from the first time I played at launch. Still generally fun.
Comic Reviews: Batman #138, Birds of Prey #2, G.O.D.S. #1, Transformers #1 and X-Men #27.

Another week is upon us, and it’s another week of reading comics! Good for us. Some pretty solid comics too, like new Power Rangers and new Avengers.
Comic Book of the Week goes to Void Rivals #4 for another solid, entertaining chapter in this ongoing tale. It’s all pretty simple, but it’s effectively simple.
Meanwhile, I finally beat Baldur’s Gate 3! I beat both a co-op campaign with a friend, and my solo campaign where I was able to do more. And it’s come to a fitting conclusion, and I’ve moved right on to the new Cyberpunk 2077 upgrades and DLC. I had a great time last time I played the game at launch, so here’s hoping for another good time now.
Comic Reviews: Avengers #5, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #112, Ms. Marvel: The New Mutant #2 and Void Rivals #4.
