Deadpool’s Charm Has Won Me Over
I’m already looking forward to the Deadpool movie. There have been several good trailers. And it does look funny. But the latest bit of marketing has really won me over. First came this billboard, using that emoji thing that all the kids these days are crazy about. Seems simple enough.
But the Internet, being the Internet, immediately started to poke fun at the silliness. That’s what the Internet does, and they’re oh so good at it.
What really won me over is what the Deadpool PR team did in response. They took the mockery and ran with it.
I can’t wait to see Skullpoopl!

Hench-Sized Comic Book Reviews – 1/9/16
Welp, I don’t know what happened, but it seems I only read Marvel comics this week. I readily admit that they’re my favorite publisher, and have been since childhood, but I’m not actively trying to favor them. DC, Image and all the rest all have good books, I swear. But hey, Marvel does rule!
We’ve got new issues of Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, Iron Man and more, and they’re all pretty darn good. I even tried out the new Uncanny X-Men. But Comic Book of the Week has to go to Spider-Woman #2 for its humor, its quality and the way writer Dennis Hopeless is fully incorporating the character’s pregnancy.
Baby knows best
That’s some real dedication to a story.

Everything Wrong with Ant-Man
Alas, poor Ant-Man, there’s no way it could survive Cinema Sins.
I still love this movie, I will always love this movie, and I can’t wait to see Ant-Man show up in Captain America: Civil War. But heh, it’s got a million, bajillion little problems.

Daredevil Teaser Fulfills Sole Obligation
The second season of the Daredevil TV show will debut on Netflix on March 18 — and that is a sentence that makes me giddy just from typing it out. A Daredevil TV show, you guys! Anyway, they released a quick teaser trailer today to announce the debut date. And it definitely teases!
Yeah, it’s mostly just quotes and scenes from the first season. Only at the end do we get some snippets of new stuff, but at least that stuff sounds cool! Can’t wait!

My 6 Most Anticipated Movies of 2016
A new year is here, and with it comes a new spattering of pop culture to love and hopefully enjoy! All my favorite TV shows are coming back eventually (most of them this month!). And comics are looking as exciting as ever. Not too many video games on my list this year, but we’ll see how things turn out.
Mostly though, I’m looking forward to movies! This is gonna be a great year!

As we all know, we’re smack dab in the middle (or the beginning) of the next superhero movie insanity roller coaster. We know that 2017 is going to be insane with movies. But this year is boasting some solid entries as well. So to ease us into 2016, I wanted to run down the six movies I’m most looking forward to this year. Hopefully they live up to my excitement.
