How Spider-Man: Homecoming Should Have Ended

It’s pretty funny this time! Probably because it’s written by the fans!

Sometimes the good people at How It Should Have Ended can be pretty funny! I need to get around to rewatching Spider-Man: Homecoming. It’s such a good movie.

New Black Panther Trailer is Neat!

Marvel surprised us with a new trailer for the Black Panther movie, and it’s pretty neat!

If I’m being honest, though, I think I liked the first one better. And they should have re-used that car flip moment. It’s a cool moment, but if it’s the action centerpiece of two trailers, it’s gonna lose some of its energy.

Still, cool trailer, cool look at the movie and I can’t wait to see it in theaters in February!

Hench-Sized Comic Book Reviews – 10/14/17

Have you heard the horrible news?! After many long years, Amanda Conner and Jimmy Palmiotti are leaving Harley Quinn! Say it ain’t so, you guys! I’m going to miss you! Don’t worry, I’ll stick with you all the way to the end!

Unfortunately, we don’t have a new issue of Harley Quinn this week! Instead we’ve got some truly awesome issues of Amazing Spider-Man, Detective Comics, Mister Miracle, Runaways and more! And I’m very pleased to award Comic Book of the Week to the latest issue of Ms. Marvel, which settles back into basics and delvers a super fun issue!

Whatevs

DC released a new issue of their Metal Event this week and it’s OK, but I’m not particularly liking it. There’s an artifice to the whole thing that’s turning me off. Like, Scott Snyder and DC are trying too hard to fit this into old bits of DC continuity, and that falls flat when the story is so basic. It’s just a bunch of evil alternate reality Batmans, and we’re told that the world has been completely conquered. I think the scope is just too big for what they’re giving this story and too much is being hammered into place just to be clever. No thank you.

Comic Reviews: Amazing Spider-Man #789, Detective Comics #966, Mister Miracle #3, Ms. Marvel #23, Runaways #2 and Unbeatable Squirrel Girl #25.

New Mutants is Apparently Going to Be Terrifying!

The New Mutants movie is happening, which I find to be partially insane. Like, surely nobody outside of comics cares about or even knows about The New Mutants. It’s a weird name, when you think about it. And what does the movie have to gain by sticking to the original character roster of The New Mutants in the first place?

And for that matter, why make it a horror movie?!

Looks neat! I would almost be surprised if anybody in the movie actually used their powers. Like, it would practically ruin the tone of the film if Cannonball went all cannonball on the horror, right?!

Anyway, The New Mutants is going to be a movie! It comes out on April 13!

LEGO Stingray to Exist!

There’s a new LEGO Marvel Superheroes game coming out soon, and I was only mildly interested in it until about 30 seconds ago. I used to be big into the original LEGO Star Wars games, but haven’t done much with LEGO Marvel games.

Until I saw that Stingray was going to be in the new game! Holy cow!

Did you catch him? He’s at 00:37 in the trailer! LEGO Stingray! Oh man oh man, I’m over the moon now!

Now Marvel just needs to make a legit Stingray mini-fig or LEGO set for me to own and love.

LEGO Marvel Superheroes 2 will be out on Nov. 14. Hopefully on Steam.
