New Fox Cartoon Alert!
Back in the day, it was Seth McFarlane and the Family Guy style that ruled the Fox cartoon universe. Now it seems that Bob’s Burgers is the new hot stuff. Because Fox has released a teaser for their next cartoon, The Great North, which looks like it could be set in the same universe.
That’s a great cast. But a great cast does not guarantee a great show. I haven’t watched any of those Fox cartoons in forever. They tell me Bob’s Burgers is great, and I don’t disagree. I just haven’t watched it in years!
Still, I felt like sharing this teaser for The Great North, which debuts in February.

Hilda is Coming Back for a Second Season!
Honestly, I’m a little shocked to learn that the adorable animated show Hilda has only had one season so far. I watched it and I enjoyed it…but apparently, in my memory, I thought it was much more than just 13 episodes. Turns out I’m wrong! And they came out all the way back in 2018!
Well good news, Hilda fans! Season 2 starts in two weeks!
Hilda is an adventurous little girl who lives in a world of urban fantasy. She lives in a nice little town, and then there’s monsters and elves and magic and all sorts of stuff. It’s a quaint little cartoon and definitely worth a watch!
Hilda season 2 comes to Netflix on Dec. 14.

So, Tom & Jerry Are Getting the Live Action Treatment…
Yeah, this is a thing that’s happening. Chloe Grace Moretz gets to pantomime to an invisible Tom and Jerry for a new moving coming out next year.
Oy vey that looks bad. Like, really bad. Like, who is making this nonsense bad? But I suppose it’s nice that the various actors in the movie will continue to get a paycheck of some kind. I like Michael Pena as much as the next person.

There’s a LEGO Star Wars Christmas Special Coming Out Tomorrow!
Have you heard of this thing? LEGO and Star Wars are putting out a silly new holiday special on Tuesday. It seems to involve Rey traveling through time and running into various characters, including everybody’s favorite, Baby Yoda.
Looks…watchable? Maybe? I don’t know. I don’t watch any of the LEGO Star Wars animated stuff. Seems focused on kids, while also trying to ape the humor of the big screen LEGO movies. But hey. We’re all fans of Star Wars here. We’re all fans of LEGO. So maybe this will be worth a watch.

There’s Gonna Be Even More Adventure Time!
Adventure Time may be over, but apparently HBO Max is all about adding a few more adventures with their Distant Lands sequels. I still haven’t watched the BMO movie, but here’s one starring Marceline the Vampire Queen and Princess Bubblegum!
Distant Lands: Obsidian will start airing on Nov. 19 and it should be fun in that we can actually enjoy the Marceline/Bubblegum romance instead of it just being something that happened at the end of the show. Depending on how many of these Distant Lands bits we get, I’ll definitely have to binge them all in a weekend some day.
