Let’s Celebrate the Gremlins (Animated)!
It’s still the Christmas season, so how about we celebrate the Gremlins? Some of their movies took place during Christmas, right? I haven’t seen a Gremlins movie in a dog’s age. But our favorite movie look animating YouTuber — Tell It Animated — spent the time to animate all the funky Gremlins! So let’s celebrate!
I love this guy. Gremlins is a fun choice.
As always, my recommendation is Robin. There’s plenty of movie and animation Robins to animate. And everybody loves a new Batman video, right?
Speaking of Gremlins, have you ever seen that classic Key and Peele sketch about Gremlins 2? That thing is so much fun!

Merry Christmas, From Ted Lasso
I love the TV show Ted Lasso. It’s great! They did a Christmas episode in their second season, and produced some little Rankin Bass-style stop motion figurines of their main characters for the title sequence. It was fun. And rather than let those figurines go to waste, they produced a full holiday short video!
That’s just cute. Why not enjoy this kind of fun? If you’re making a TV show, surely it’s a blast to do a side project where you make your own little Christmas short? At least I imagine it would be fun.
Can’t wait for season 3! Also, Nate sucks.

Behold Our First Look at Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is inarguably the greatest Spider-Man movie of all time, and could be the greatest movie of all time. So a sequel was inevitable and it’s coming next year! The first teaser trailer/look arrived yesterday and it looks neat as heck.
Part One? So this is going to be a two-part movie? Fascinating.
If I’m being honest, I think the name is a little problematic. “Across the Spider-Verse”? So we’re supposed to differentiate these movies for all time based only on the words “Into” and “Across” And then “Across 1” and “Across 2”? Sounds like madness to me!
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Part One arrives in October 2022!

Tell Venom Animated
Our boy at Tell It Animated is back with Venom! Between all the man Spider-Man cartoons over the years, and those couple of movie appearances, we have all the looks of Venom!
Tell It Animated has now opened itself up to Spider-Man villains, based on the end of the video. That should be a fun one. Again, Spider-Man has had like a dozen different cartoons over the past decade at least. So there’s lots of options. Doctor Octopus definitely has a bunch of different looks, especially considering his reappearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home in a couple weeks. So he gets my vote.
And, as always, I recommend Robin! You’ve already got the Batman episode, and Joker, so definitely Robin. There are the original black and white serials, the 1960s show, Batman Forever, Batman and Robin, then all the different animated versions of Robin. Plenty of options! Especially if you go for different Robins under the mask.

Happy Thanksgiving! How About Some DC Super Pets?
Happy Thanksgiving to my American readers. I’m currently home with my family enjoying a nice, big meal. But there are still movie trailers and superheroes to enjoy! In fact, how about you check out the first official trailer for DC League of Super-Pets?
This movie is apparently not what I expected. I thought this would actually feature DC’s wide menagerie of super animals. But nope! It’s apparently just Krypto the Super Dog and then a bunch of brand new, original super-powered animals. Weird choice.
Why would you make this movie and not include the real Ace the Bat-Hound? Or Jumpa the Wonder Kangaroo? Or Streaky the Supercat? What the heck are they even making?
DC League of Super-Pets arrives in theaters in May.
