Pinnochio Live Action Trailer
Man, what a Monday. No good movies are coming out anytime soon. I gotta go to work in a bit, when all I wanna do is stay home and play more Total War: Warhammer 3. They released Immortal Empires, you guys! Anyway, the Pinnochio live action movie from Disney dropped a trailer.
And it looks kinda bland. Disney live action movies no longer excite me, if they ever did. And this one looks like a pretty clear 1-for-1 remake of Pinnochio. It’s coming to Disney+ next week, so we can all watch it then. But we’re all probably better off waiting for Guillermo del Toro’s stop-motion animation Pinnochio movie in December.
Because of course there are two competing PInnochio movies coming out now.

Hench-Sized Comic Book Reviews – 8/27/22
It’s just gonna be one of those weeks, I guess. I think I’m just reading fewer comics these days. I don’t have any particular reason. I just don’t care for Big Event comics anymore, and I really need to get into more indie stuff. I’ve only got Amazing Spider-Man this week on my pull list.
Comic Book of the Week goes to Amazing Spider-Man #8 for a solid issue and the introduction of the new Spider-Gear.
Meanwhile, I’m loving She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, absolutely loved the third season of The Boys, not particularly digging A League of Their Own, and I’m finally gonna try out Total War: Warhammer III this weekend because the Immortal Empires campaign has launched! Should be fun.
Comic Reviews: Amazing Spider-Man #8.

Watch out, people, I have opinions on the internet. It would just be safer if you backed the heck up and didn’t come near me as I express these opinions in this carefully cultivated listicle on my personal corner of the information superhighway. Chief among those opinions is that I really, really enjoyed the first episode of the new She-Hulk: Attorney at Law show on Disney+.
The internet’s response to the She-Hulk show is what has prompted this list, though not every entry is going to relate back to the new MCU comedy. I’ve just seen too many complaints — as well as too many clapbacks against those complaints — and I’ve decided to express my frustrations through blogging. I have scoured my own headspace and found a bunch of things in movies and TV that seem to really rile people up, but which have zero effect on me.
Join me after the jump as I whine and whinge about dumb things other people complain about on the internet.

I have not yet watched the first episode of the new Game of Thrones show on HBO Max. I have zero interest in this high budget prequel series to an existing prestige TV show. Likewise, I have zero interest in the high budget prequel series to an existing prestige series of movies. The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power looks impressive, but man, I just don’t care.
So because of a licensing conundrum, Amazon is gonna try to cobble together a show based on Lord of the Rings appendixes? Bwuh? Galadriel is gonna get up to some fightin’ in the long past with no discernable storyline? I just don’t care. But, you know, I’ll probably watch the show eventually. It’s what I do. I watch things.
The Rings of Power comes out on Sept. 2.
