The New Ant-Man Trailer Goes Heavy on the Kang
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is only about a month away from arriving in theaters and I’m very excited! Ant-Man is my favorite Avenger and I’ve enjoyed his films. And the next one is gonna be big and bombastic! It’s also gonna introduce a proper Kang the Conqueror as the new big bad.
And the new trailer, debuting last night, really goes heavy on Kang action!
Fun trailer! Not as jovial as the first one, but it definitely shows off the action very well. We’ve got lots of Scott Langs, we’ve got some quality drama attached to his daughter, Cassie, and we’ve got a metric ton of danger associated with Kang the Conqueror! Sounds good to me. And yes, those are our first official looks at MODOK! How nifty!
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania comes to theaters on Feb. 17!

Evil Dead Rise Looks a Bit Too Much For Me
I’m not much of a fan of horror movies, especially gory ones. Just not my cup of tea. But that’s not going to stop me from sharing this red band trailer for Evil Dead Rise, which really lives up to all the insanity one can expect from this franchise. Definitely consider your own sanity when it comes to watching this trailer. Consider yourself warned.
Also, since it is a red band trailer and really gory in its own right, you’re gonna have to click through to YouTube directly if you want to watch!
That was some gnarly stuff! Man. Who even makes these movies? Who enjoys this sort of thing? It’s madness, I tell you! But madness is as madness does, so hopefully some of you out there will enjoy Evil Dead Rise when it comes to theaters on April 21.

Hench-Sized Comic Book Reviews – 1/7/23
First week of comics of the year and we’ve got a banger of a start! I really enjoyed all the comics I read this week from the Big Two, so I hope this means we’ve got a good year ahead of us. New issues of Batman and Captain America: Sentinel of Liberty always makes for a good week. Remember when they fought in Marvel vs. DC in the 90s?!
Comic Book of the Week goes to Scarlet Witch #1 for a really fun, really solid first issue to her new solo series. It’s always nice when a new series puts their best foot forward.
Meanwhile, I finally got my Playstation 5! Is that a big accomplishment anymore? I found one for retail price and used some Christmas money to take the plunge on the console. I won’t be playing anything yet, though, because I’m still working my way through Pokemon Violet. I’m not sure why that game is taking me so long…Anyway, I also splurged on the collected edition of Marvels by Kurt Busiek and Alex Ross, which has been a real treat to revisit.
Comic Reviews: Batman #131, Captain America: Sentinel of Liberty #8, Fantastic Four #3 and Scarlet Witch #1.
Read the rest of this entryThe Renfield Movie Might Be Good
It’s January, so Hollywood has nothing much to show us. But there are new movies coming out in the months ahead, so we’ve still got trailers! Like this first trailer for Renfield, a new Dracula movie that focuses on his Igor. And it looks…good? It looks alright?
Renfield as a handsome dude with super powers? An interesting take. But it’s got Awkwafina! And Nicholas Cage seems to be having fun as Dracula. Plus Nicholas Hoult is always a hoot. Maybe this will actually be a nifty neato film.
I guess we’ll find out when Renfield hits theaters on April 14.

Across the Spider-Verse in LEGO!
Some genius at LegoMe_TheOG have animated the Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse trailer in LEGO. I love this sort of thing! Lego is great, stop motion animation is great, and the internet can produce some great things.
I bet it was fun drawing or building all those alternate Spider-People in LEGO. I love how they run. This looks great, and I can’t wait to get another Across the Spider-Verse so this dude can do this again!
