Star Wars Is Gonna Have a Thing Tonight!

The new Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer is going to premiere tonight during a football game! I won’t be watching the game — as per last week’s List of Six — but you can be darn sure I’ll be scouring the Internet afterwards for the trailer! I’ll probably post it tomorrow morning after I sleep off the effects of watching the trailer.

While we wait, Star Wars was kind enough to reveal a badass new poster for The Force Awakens!

Oh man, now that’s a poster! Han! Leia! Rey, Finn and Po! Lightsabers! A new super Death Star!

Then Star Wars as kind enough to release the same poster horizontally, for some reason!

They’ve got all the bases covered for tonight’s trailer premiere!

I’ve Got the Star Wars Chills!

I’m as big of a Star Wars fan as anybody, so of course I’m looking forward to The Force Awakens later this year. And man, did yesterday’s new teaser give me chills! It’s only a few seconds long, but that ending!

Hot damn! That’s some exciting lightsaber action! We don’t even really know the characters yet, but it got me excited!

So Much Star Wars News!

Disney held their annual super-expo the other day, and among other awesome things, they revealed a ton of new Star Wars news! Being a big Star Wars fan, that seemed like a pretty swell thing to me.

First up, they released this awesome new poster for The Force Awakens, by artist Drew Struzan, who drew famous posters for the other movies!

So wait, the stormtrooper guy from the trailer now has a lightsaber? So much for my Stormtrooper Jedi fan-fic!

Looks pretty cool!

As for the other news? Disney has decided to build new Star Wars-themed additions to their theme parks! Both Disney World is Florida and Disneyland in California will be getting giant additions, multiple acres worth. People are calling them the biggest ever additions at Disney parks!

It's good to see that the Falcon will actually fly

These new additions will involve a new alien world, full of lush greenery, Star Wars-style buildings, and probably a 50s era diner populated by aliens and droids. Amiright?

There’s also going to be a ride based on the Millennium Falcon, and if this picture is to be believed, maybe a full-sized replica? That would be amazing!

Oh wait, this is probably just concept art

My family are huge Disney fans. I’ve been to Disney World three times in my life, and I have fine memories of each time. We’re definitely going to have to make plans to visit this new Star Wars park when it’s done. Maybe my parents will have grandchildren by then!

Glorious, glorious concept art

New Star Wars: The Force Awakens Trailer Confirms Today is Chewbacca Day!

Now this is some sweet, sweet movie trailering. If you thought that first Star Wars: The Force Awakens teaser trailer was good, then you ain’t seen nothing yet! Instead, you should see this, and prepare your squee effects.

Oh yes, that was good. That was damn good. Though I think the new characters were a little overshadowed by a certain pair of cameos at the very end. Seriously, kudos to Harrison Ford for being game to do this movie, because he’s going to make the whole thing worth it.

Beyond his cameo at the end, I think this movie is a little slicker than your average Star Wars movie. It looks like Star Wars by way of J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek movies. This trailer looked slick, action-packed and just the right amount of wild, but with classic Star Wars spaceships. I can’t tell yet if that’s good or bad.

But I do know that The Force Awakens looks pretty darn awesome.

I Think The Internet is Broken

I don’t…I don’t know what’s going on, everybody. I’m surfing the web trying to find some content to share, but all I’m coming up with is more Star Wars: The Force Awakens parody videos! Here’s one done with scenes from Spaceballs!

All anyone has been able to do for the past few days is make Star Wars parodies! It’s maddening! And if I had any skill whatsoever with those movie-maker programs, I’d probably make one too! This is what the Internet has become: an endless parade of Star Wars: The Force Awakens parody videos. Why didn’t anybody warn us?

At least Stephen Colbert is here to put the lightsaber argument to rest!
