Check Your Theaters for Wake Up Dead Man!
The next mystery film in the Knives Out series will come to select theaters next week, so check your selection theaters to see if you’re one of them! I was able to see Glass Onion in the theater and that was a hoot, so I’m going to keep my eyes very peeled and my fingers crossed for Wake Up Dead Man.
Until then, here’s a new trailer.
Looks good to me! Rian Johnson and Daniel Craig have made an excellent series of mystery movies, and I can’t wait to see the newest one! So here’s hoping at least one of my local theaters has the film. Otherwise, I’ll have to wait for the Netflix release, which won’t be terrible, but won’t be nearly as much fun.
Wake Up Dead Man comes to select theaters on Wednesday, Nov. 26, and then will be on Netflix on Dec. 12.

Super Trailer Thursday!
For some reason, a bunch of interesting trailers have been coming out this week. And I love trailers. And they’re easy to share when I’m otherwise busy. So how about we enjoy a couple of trailers for shows and movies I have a vague interest in?
Like the live action trailer for Lilo & Stitch!
I enjoy the animated Lilo & Stitch as much as the next person. And I don’t care for the Disney live action movies as much as the next person. Heck, the live action Snow White comes out, like, next week. Does anybody care beyond the haters? Still, who doesn’t enjoy Stitch shenanigans?
Lilo & Stitch live action comes to theaters on May 23.
Next up is an animated show on Netflix that I just learned about: Devil May Cry! I never played the games, but I’ve enjoyed the animated Castlevania shows, so maybe this will also be good?
It looks pretty good. I’m all in favor of turning classic video games into cool new anime shows. I even did a List of Six suggesting some other shows! And maybe this will be a faithful adaptation and I’ll actually find out what Devil May Cry is about. Won’t that be something?
Devil May Cry, the series, comes to Netflix on April 3.
Lastly, there’s going to be a new season of Poker Face, the mystery show starring Natasha Lyonne and created by Rian Johnson.
For some reason, I didn’t care for the first season of Poker Face. It did nothing for me! Even though I enjoy Lyonne’s work and am a huge fan of Knives Out and Glass Onion. Just something about Poker Face didn’t click for me. So I don’t even know if I’ll watch this. But some of you might, so I thought I’d share.
Poker Face season 2 comes to Peacock on May 8.

Who’s Up For Trying to Catch Glass Onion in Theaters?
Knives Out was amazing. I saw it in theaters with high hopes based on the trailers, and even those hopes were blown out of the water by how good it was! So you’re gosh darn right I’m quite pleased that Rian Johnson was given a ton of money by Netflix to make more Benoit Blanc mysteries. Glass Onion looks darn good!
Looks like a fun murder mystery, with a great cast and a really neat lead detective! I’m totally in.
So Glass Onion is coming to Netflix on Dec. 23, which is fine. I can watch it with my family over Christmas, perhaps. But it’s also going to get a limited theatrical release for, like, one week starting on Nov. 23. If that movie is playing anywhere near me, you best believe I’m going to see it in theaters! I can’t wait!

Our First Look at Glass Onion, the Knives Out Sequel
We’ve finally got a trailer for Glass Onion, the sequel to the exceptionally good murder mystery Knives Out from a couple of years ago. That movie was such a success that writer/director Rian Johnson is going to do a whole bunch of Benoit Blanc mysteries, thanks to some generous funding from Netflix. I am totally on board with this!
The trailer looks great! Very stylish, and with a great cast of characters. It’s a shame that Blanc will no longer have his various sidekicks from the first movie, because his chemistry with Ana de Armas was magical. But such is the life of a wandering super detective!
Glass Onion comes to Netflix later this year!
