6 Things I Want Added to Red Dead Redemption Online

Once again I find myself lost in the world of Red Dead Redemption 2, easily one of the biggest and best video game I’ve ever played. There have been a lot of good games lately, but Red Dead Redemption 2 is the exactly perfect video game for me — and I am very much enjoying the online multiplayer.

Check out my custom character! I’m Henchman4Hire on Playstation 4!

There’s not much to the multiplayer just yet. It’s really just the big, glorious game world with a bunch of random jobs, playgrounds, mini-games and a couple of story missions. But that’s enough for me. Honestly, I just love existing in this game world. I love the feel of walking around. I love the pedantic stuff. I love trotting my horse through town. I love putting together the perfect outfit. I love this game!

And there are a couple of expansion ideas I hope to see over the next few months and years. The online multiplayer is growing in fits and starts. There’s a big update coming later this summer that will add some professions, like bounty hunter or fur trapper. That should be fun. Rockstar has been updating Grand Theft Auto Online for years now, and surely they will do the same for the cowboy version.

Join me after the jump for six things I personally want to see and experience in future Red Dead Online updates.

6 Genres for Rockstar to Develop Next

Look, I’m going to level with you fine readers. I’ve spent the past week hip deep in Red Dead Redemption 2, gleefully shootin’ and hollerin’ my way across the old west. Or the new west, whatever the story might be. I haven’t done very much critical thinking beyond whether or not to rob that stage coach. So how about a list of other storytelling genres video game developer Rockstar could develop games for?

Rockstar Genre List 01

I’m still not entirely sure if that’s Arthur or John in the logo

The beauty of a Rockstar game is in the immersion. There are plenty of well-made sandbox games out there, but none reach the depth of world like a Rockstar game. From growing and styling your beard to polishing your guns to tracking animals to realistic mud physics, Red Dead Redemption 2 is a work of art. It’s a game where I like to just walk around, because it wouldn’t fit the story/world/character if he sprinted everywhere.

So Rockstar needs to abandon whatever money-making plans and start whole new franchise! They’ve got cops & robbers with Grand Theft Auto, they’ve got the wild west with Red Dead Redemption and they’ve got a boarding school setting with Bully. Join me after the jump for some loosely imagined other options!

How Does Red Dead Redemption 2 Look This Damn Good?

I probably say this every time a new Rockstar game comes out, but check out the graphics on Red Dead Redemption 2! How does this game look so damn good?!

Coincidentally, I have the week off from work when this game comes out, so I think I’ll be enjoying my staycation! Releases Oct. 26.

Red Dead Redemption 2 Looks More and More Gorgeous

A new video has come out detailing the landscape and the gameplay mechanics of Red Dead Redemption 2, and the game appears to be quite breathtaking.

Now I’m even more excited! I can’t wait to get my hands on his game on Oct. 26, and I’m so glad I bought that Playsation 4 a couple months ago to play this! Looks like a game of pure beauty!

Red Dead Redemption 2 Looks Glorious

Good news, everybody! I went and splurged on a Playstation 4! So games like Red Dead Redemption 2 and the upcoming Spider-Man game are now within my sights. I gave up on consoles a couple years ago because Steam on PC was giving me everything I needed. Looks like meat is back on the menu, boys!

My favorite games these days are over-the-shoulder, open world action RPGs. Give me a main story mission, a bunch of optional side missions, a good narrative, some character customization and leveling, a bunch of collectibles to find, and you’ve got me hooked! I loved Witcher 3. I lost myself in that game.

But I’m running out of those kinds of games of Steam. And the response to the new God of War game was so good. So I went for it and am back in the console realm! And just like everybody else, I’m salivating over Red Dead Redemption 2! Holy guacamole, that game looks great!
