Star Wars: The Force Awakens Parodies Are Exactly What We’d Want
The Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer was pretty awesome this week, and, of course, the Internet is full of parodies right now. Whether it’s mocking the new lightsaber, general fan art or everything else, everybody can’t stop talking about the new trailer! That’s a good thing. Fans are energized! And some fans have gone above and beyond, creating some neat parody trailers.

Good times. That’s a man who’s dedicating to his parodying. There are plenty of other LEGO versions on Youtube as well, if you want to check them out.
Then we have this gloriously hilarious trailer, showing us the George Lucas Special Edition version of the trailer!
Somehow, that joke never gets old. Kudos to timtimfed for getting it done!

Oh Universe, You So Adorable!
Just when DC Comics seems poised to continue to be terrible, they have to go and do something downright adorable! Apparently in November, they’re going to have some fun and make a bunch of LEGO variant covers.
DC may be generally terrible with stories, art, crossovers, character progression and everything else, at the very least, they’ve got some neat variant covers!
Well, unless you count those horribly sexist bombshell covers they had only a few months ago. Come to think of it, what’s with all the novelty variant covers? Isn’t there one for selfies coming out soon too? And September is that Future’s End theme month, with variant covers. What’s going on?
Are they…are they trying to distract us? Is that it?

The New LEGO Contest Winner is the Bee’s Knees!
Remember Cuusoo, the LEGO design competition that selected models from the public to turn into real sets? Cuusoo gave us the Back to the Future LEGOs and the upcoming Ghostbuster set. Well they’re at it again with a new winner – and a new, much easier to understand name.
It’s a female scientist! And that is fantastic news! Rather than just grab another pop culture touchstone, LEGO are taking the world’s advice and making a legitimate, reasonable LEGO model starring a female character. Because LEGO are usually terrible when it comes to girls. Instead of just making LEGOs for everybody, they keep trying to make girl-specific sets that are more colorful and feature sets about shopping, haircare and other insanely sexist ideas. So this is a damn good sign!
