We Got Movie Trailers!

As I’ve mentioned plenty of times before, I love watching movie trailers. And they’re fun to share on this blog, just in case you good readers haven’t heard of these movies before. I’m bringing knowledge to the masses!

First up is Wildwood, an insanely impressive stop-motion animation film that I really, really hope excels at the box office.

This thing looks amazing. It looks beyond amazing. It looks like the kind of art that just doesn’t exist in the world anymore. And, fun story, the Laika film studio is owned and operated by a dude named Travis Knight, who is the son of the owner of Nike, so the family is loaded. And Knight uses that wealth to prop up his independent stop-motion animation studio. So a good billionaire, for once! Guy also directed Masters of the Universe this past summer, which I loved.

Wildwood comes to theaters on Oct. 23.

Next up, let’s talk about How to Rob a Bank.

This one looks pretty neat. Looks like the kind of movie we could all use these days. And maybe it’ll actually be educational. But the most we can hope is that it’ll be fun to watch.

How to Rob a Bank comes to theaters on Nov. 13.

Finally, we got a brand new trailer for the film Ray Gunn, another animated flick.

Also neat! So many neat movies on this list. Ray Gunn is the passion project of Brad Bird, the guy behind The Incredibles and The Iron Giant. I never saw his Tomorrowland movie (which isn’t mentioned in this trailer), but I still have faith in Bird. I bet this one will be really fun!

Ray Gunn comes to theaters on Dec. 4 and then goes immediately to Netflix on Dec. 18.

Check Out This Gorgeous New Wildwood Trailer

A new trailer for the stop-motion animated film Wildwood arrived on this internet this week and it’s even bigger and bolder than the previous trailers! I legit got a little choked up watching this movie trailer!

Oh man, this is intense. This is good. This is gonna be a masterpiece. Will it succeed at the box office? Laika movies apparently never do that great. But c’mon, world. Give us this one. Let this be successful. Let this be something great and awesome and beautiful, that we can all enjoy. I’m gonna splurge for the fancy cinema at the theater in the next town over for this one.

Wildwood comes to theaters on Oct. 23.

Alert: Wildwood is Not CGI!

Better sit down for this one! Stop-motion animation powerhouse Laika is back with their new film, Wildwood, and this looks about as cool as anything can. It’s not CGI. It’s stop-motion animation. Keep that in mind when you watch this trailer.

Holy cow, people! That was gorgeous! That was intricate! That was so detailed it’s mind-blowing! These people are masters of their craft and it shows in even just a trailer, let alone the final product. The story feels a little light and cliche, but I think we can put that aside to enjoy some top tier animation.

Wildwood comes to theaters on Oct. 23.
