Who Doesn’t Love Poking Fun at The Walking Dead?

I’m definitely a fan of The Walking Dead TV show, but as always, the good folks at Screen Junkies can tear it to shreds.

I liked the first episode of Season 4. Though would it really be such a bad thing if we had an episode where everything went right for everybody? Things seemed so nice and peaceful at the prison. But I’m probably just a sucker for wanting a happy ending out of a zombie apocalypse.

Make Fun of Iron Man Day

So for some reason, the universe really decided to stick it to Iron Man yesterday, with two completely independent comical films on Youtube. And me being the schmuck that I am, I’m sharing both at the same time!

First up is a pretty hilarious spoof of what it would be like if Mark Wahlberg replaced Robert Downey Jr. This is a spot-on Wahlberg impression by Dave Ebert.

That was made by the fine people at Official Comedy, and it is officially awesome!

Next up is the Honest Trailers take on Iron Man 3. As you know, I enjoyed Iron Man 3 a great deal, but the Screen Junkies definitely have a lot of fun picking it apart. I was fine with the whole Mandarin reveal until watching their video. Now I am kind of upset about the whole thing…

Iron Man took a beating yesterday, but I’m sure he’ll keep on ticking. Onward to Thor in November!

Honest Trailers Tackles the Big One

I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve seen from the Screen Junkies team, and now they up the ante by giving the Honest Trailers treatment to the worst superhero movie ever made. I’m talking, of course, about Batman and Robin.

I can’t believe young, teenage Sean loved this movie, and Batman Forever. I’m fairly certain I was just blind and dumb as a kid. High school straightened me right out. Now I dislike and giggle at these films with the appropriate amount of disdain.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine is Just Wrong

Let’s keep the Wolverine party going, shall we?. The Honest Trailers peeps have cranked out a great take on X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Seriously, though, who thought that title was a good idea?

Once again, those guys absolutely nail the hilarious badness of crummy movies. X-Men Origins: Wolverine got so many things wrong. And now I’m waiting for The Wolverine to do the same. I’m not expecting a good movie. But I suppose we’ll see next weekend. Who’s with me? Anybody really looking forward to The Wolverine as the superhero movie of the year?

Let’s Celebrate Our Independence Day!

This Fourth of July, two of my favorite Internet comedy groups, Screen Junkies and Cinemas Sins, have worked their movie parodying magic on the classic alien thrillride, Independence Day! And what better way to celebrate the holiday (besides fireworks, flags and fried food) than by watching those videos!

We’re not going quietly into the night on this blog, baby!

And welcome to Earth! Did you hear they’re trying to make a sequel to Independence Day? Wild!
