Beta Ray Bill Can and Should Appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe

I never thought I would see the day where Thor was a household name. Marvel Studios has accomplished a lot in the past 7 years, but I am still most amazed at how they have turned previously unknown heroes like Thor, Iron Man and the Guardians of the Galaxy into bonafide celebrities. It’s amazing. There are kids out there who want to dress as Thor for Halloween. The Dark World was a truly great film, and I still herald it as one of Marvel’s best. I am legitimately excited to see the third one, Ragnarok.

I just think it should also include Beta Ray Bill, one of the greatest and weirdest comic book characters of all time. Yes, I’m talking about Horse Thor.

Comics, everybody!

Shortly after leaving the theater when the first Thor film debuted, I joked to myself that there was no way Beta Ray Bill would ever fit into what Marvel was building. But now we’re several films deep, including the amazing and alien-filled Guardians of the Galaxy, and I have completely changed my mind. Beta Ray Bill should appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

And if you’ll join me after the jump, I’ll tell you how!

The Age of Ultron Trailer Gets Even Better!

Can you remember the last time a movie trailer had this much impact? It seems the whole country has rallied around the awesomeness of the Avengers: Age of Ultron trailer! It’s a thing of beauty!

So why not indulge in some good-natured fun? Here’s How the Age of Ultron Trailer Should Have Ended!

And then some fine enterprising souls at Nerd Reactor decided to dub the trailer over the original Pinocchio cartoon. Good times indeed!

I cannot wait for this movie!

More Marvel Goodies!

So yesterday was a huge day for Marvel, and today we’ve got a few meandering goodies to share. No new details about all those awesome movie announcements, but there is a new clip from Avengers: Age of Ultron to share, attached to the teaser trailer from before. Don’t watch if you don’t want to be spoiled! This same clip was shown to fans at Comic-Con this past summer. It’s a pretty fun scene.

The clip looks like a lot of fun! And it’s our first new Avengers scene since everyone dined on shawarma in 2012!

The First Avengers: Age of Ultron Trailer is Chilling and Oh So Good!

I don’t even know where to begin with how awesome that trailer was! It leaked online last night, and then Marvel just went ahead and released the whole thing in HD for all of us to devour! It’s so good! The action, the character beats, the glimpses of our favorite heroes, all great. But then everything to do with Ultron himself is just beyond insane! This is one super-villain who is legitimately chilling! That first moment, when he stumbles into view, a hodgepodge of old Iron Man pieces, is gorgeous. Then that creepy rendition of the Pinocchio song is absolutely perfect!

And then that final glimpse of Ultron at the very end, when he finishes the song himself…oh man, oh man. He looks more gnarly and amazing than I could have ever predicted!

Come May, Avengers: Age of Ultron is going to be everything we could have ever hoped for.

Wanna Take a Peep at the Vision in Age of Ultron?

Movie spoilers are almost unavoidable in this day and age, especially with these big budget superhero movies. Marvel and DC can cast whoever they want, and impose whatever gag orders they want, but somehow, eventually, we’re going to find out ahead of time that Jason Momoa is playing Aquaman or that Cosmo is going to be in your Guardians of the Galaxy movie (though I am a little annoyed that we don’t have confirmation on Robin/Nightwing yet in Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice). This is the case with the Vision in Avengers 2: Age of Ultron. Marvel and the actor were doing their best to keep him under wraps, but he’s out there – in fact, he’s even appearing in promotional material.

Hopefully to a tailor

I’m going to save the actual image for after the jump, for those of you who still want to resist spoilers.

The Vision is a classic Avenger from the comic. He’s an android with a rather gaudy costume who eventually learns things like loyalty and love. Classic android stuff. Personally, I’ve never been a fan, but you better believe I’m super excited to see him in Age of Ultron.

Join me after the jump for the first real glimpse of the Vision!
