Behold the Behemoth That is Everything Wrong with Dragonball Evolution!

For some reason, I remember liking Dragonball Evolution well enough when I saw it, but I don’t remember why. At any rate, I hope you have 20 minutes to spare!

Rewatching the movie through Cinema Sins, it clearly looks terrible. The white guy as Goku looks incredibly out of place. And poor James Marsters…

The LEGO Movie Just Gets Better and Better

The LEGO Movie comes out on DVD this week, so all of you hold-outs who didn’t go see it in theaters can finally enjoy what is still the best movie of 2014! And if you get the Blu-Ray, you apparently get special LEGO short films, like History Cops, which might just be the best short video of 2014.

That this was made by the people behind The LEGO Movie is even better. I’m glad I live in a world where this sort of thing exists.

Also, The LEGO Movie is so good, I’m considering buying the DVD. It’s that good!

The Internet is Equal Parts Amazing and Snark

First of all, check out this gorgeous picture of a Disneyfied Doctor Who, drawn by the now Internet famous Stephen Byrne.

I love this picture. It’s stunningly gorgeous, both in the way it really does tap into the look and feel of Disney animation, while also giving each of the Doctors his own perfectly realized look. It’s stunning. My Internet Hat is off to this Stephen Byrne guy for the drawing alone.

But then Byrne goes one step further, and solidifies himself as the winner of the Internet for this month.

A lot of people started criticizing the drawing in terms of accuracy to the real Doctors. For example, the Fourth Doctor was actually fairly tall and lanky, whereas Byrne chose to draw him short and impish. Personally, I love it, but the Internet is a place of great criticism and foolishness.

Fortunately for us all, Bryne’s response was so sarcastic that he may have single-handedly redefined the word.

First Trailer for Legend of Korra Season 3!

Sadly, this is just a wordless teaser trailer, so we can’t much tell what the heck is going on…and there is surprisingly little Korra.

But who’s complaining? Bring on Season 3! Though if I’m being completely honest with myself and you, my loyal Internet readers, I’ve mostly been let down with Legend of Korra as a whole. It’s a fine show, I suppose, but it comes up lacking in probably every comparison to The Last Airbender. I’m also disappointed that the entire show isn’t more serialized. Each season is, sure, but Last Airbender was a three-season epic quest to save the world. In Legend of Korra, the bad guys politely wait their turn for each season.

Meanwhile, In The World of Good Trailers, We Have Sin City 2!

Today is apparently a day for trailers for sequels to movies that are at least a decade old! First was Dumb and Dumber To, which was kind of lousy. Fortunately, this new trailer for Sin City 2: A Dame To Kill For, is much better.

Though I will say that something looks off with Marv’s makeup, but maybe that’s just me. Another weird thing is that this movie seems to play fast and loose with timelines. Unless Hartigan died years before Marv and before Dwight got his reconstructive surgery. But then I’ve never read a single Sin City comic, so I have no idea what I’m talking about.

Still, Aug. 22, who’s in?
