Today We Enter An Age Unlike Any in Our History, One With Awesome Star Wars Spin-Off Movies
The first trailer for Rogue One hit the Internet today, and it’s a transformative experience. Up until today, the only real Star Wars movies were about the main Saga and the familiar characters. They’ve been big, blockbuster events, enjoyed by many. There have been tons of supplemental materials, like comics and cartoons, but the movies were special events.
Now, with Rogue One, we’re going to get big event movies that deals with material outside of the main Saga. After watching this first trailer, I say bring it on!
There’s just something so visceral about this trailer. I love it. I love the way it looks at Star Wars from a grounded, almost street-level perspective. I love the way it positions the Rebellion as a real, gritty, dangerous thing. That’s something I don’t know if I’ve ever felt with Star Wars.
I hope they can pull this off, and all their spin-off movies will be good. I’m not really looking forward to a Young Han Solo movie, but this sort of thing could be right up my alley.

My 6 Favorite LGBTQ Couples in Comics
Even comic book superheroes can fall in love. Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson. Lois and Clark. All those women that Batman falls in love with, only to lose them in the end. Romance is as important to comics as superhero capes! It’s even the basis of my own comic, Gamer Girl & Vixen, a lesbian supervillain love story!

Read the first issue on my Kickstarter!
I like writing Gamer Girl & Vixen because I legitimately enjoy the push for diversity that we’re seeing across all entertainment, not just comics. I would love to see more LGBTQ romances in pop culture, and we’re slowly getting there. If I can help that along with my own writing, whether in my self-published comics or in this blog, then at least I’m having a good time.
So to celebrate the progress that exists, join me after the jump for my favorite LGBTQ couples in comics! And you’re welcome to share your own favorites in the comments!
Speaking of The Force Awakens…
The Honest Trailers people have finally tackled Star Wars: The Force Awakens! Good for them.
They’ve also got a new show coming out called ‘After Credits’, which they’re making with the How It Should Have Ended people. The parody groups are coming together! They’re uniting, hopefully for the betterment of us all.

This Video Contains a Ton of My Favorite Things
Internet parodies, LEGOs and Star Wars come together in How The Force Awakens Should Have Ended!
It’s funny, it’s awesome and it’s an all-around good time. The How It Should Have Ended folks did an earlier Force Awakens bit, but I prefer when things are done in LEGO. Oh and hey, the DVD comes out today too! Neat.

Another Awesome Overwatch Cartoon Sounds Like a Good Way to Start a Monday
If Blizzard wasn’t already making so much money through video games, they would be a damn fine animation studio. Check out this new Overwatch cartoon, starring Tracer and Widowmaker.
One wonders if the actual Overwatch game is going to live up to the excitement and quality of these cartoons.
