That Final Fantasy 7 Remake Might Actually Happen
Plans have been in place to remake RPG classic Final Fantasy 7 for awhile now, with no signs of it actually happening. But developers released a nifty new cinematic trailer last week, so at least that’s something!
The trailer promises more information next month. We’ll see what happens! I’m all for having this remade. Maybe this time I’ll better understand the story and what’s going on…

Hench-Sized Comic Book Reviews – 5/11/19
It’s another one of those magical weeks where all of my favorite comics come out! Squirrel Girl! Unstoppable Wasp! Wonder Twins! How did I ever get so lucky? Well, this week turned out to be a bit of a stinker! But I might just be feeling salty this week for some reason.
Wonder Twins easily wins Comic Book of the Week! It’s not as strong an issue as the previous three, but both Squirrel Girl and Unstoppable Wasp let me down.
Meanwhile, I haven’t read one of Marvel’s Star Wars comics in awhile, but I snagged their new Boba Fett one-shot. I’m a big Boba Fett fan, and the issue was fine. A little rough around the edges, but otherwise fan. I do hope we get that movie about him someday…
Comic Reviews: Captain America #10, Unbeatable Squirrel Girl #44, Unstoppable Wasp #7 and Wonder Twins #4.
How I Would Bring the X-Men and Fantastic Four Into the MCU
**Avengers: Endgame and Spider-Man: Far From Home SPOILERS to follow**
With the release of the new Spider-Man: Far From Home movie trailer, Marvel seems to be hinting that they’re going to start using the Multiverse in their Marvel Cinematic Universe. First of all, I don’t believe it, considering Mysterio is the one introducing the concept. Second of all, a lot of people online seem to think this is how Marvel will introduce the X-Men and Fantastic Four into the main MCU.
I think that’s bollocks.
Bringing alternate reality versions of the X-Men and F4 into the main Marvel movie universe is a weak cop-out, especially since both teams can be introduced naturally within the existing world framework.
These are just some ideas I’m kicking around in my head. Considering this is my blog and I don’t have any corporate overlords or advertisers pulling my strings, I can write whatever nonsense I want to write. And today, I want to share my ideas for how to organically introduce the X-Men and the Fantastic Four into the existing Marvel Cinematic Universe, especially in the wake of Avengers: Endgame.
Join me after the jump for my ideas! And beware of Endgame spoilers!
A Proper Lightsaber Duel
The geniuses at FXitinPost have re-made the lightsaber battle between Darth Vader and Obi-Wan Kenobi from Star Wars: A New Hope. My hat is off to them. That battle is pretty lame, and they turn it into the coolest lightsaber duel of the entire franchise!
These is a really well-done editing job, and some great lightsaber choreography! My hat is off to everyone involved!

The Watchmen TV Show Is Gonna Be Weird
HBO is making a Watchmen TV show. It’s not going to be an adaptation of the comic, it’s going to be…like, a sequel, maybe? Or a re-interpretation? I am not sure. But the first trailer arrived yesterday and it explains nothing!
When HBO first announced this series, I tried to do a List of Six of things I wanted to see in a Watchmen TV show. But after giving it some thought, the only thing I wanted was a solid adaptation of the graphic novel. We’re not getting that. so I guess I’ll just hang tight and see what we get instead.
