6 Other Video Game LEGO Sets I Want to See

I had a bit of an adventure this past weekend trying to get my hands on the LEGO set of the Horizon: Forbidden West Tallneck. I had to go out of town to the nearest LEGO store, only to quickly learn that it was also a big day for new Star Wars LEGO and a huge line had formed even before the store opened! Suffice to say, I did not get my Tallneck…

This big, beautiful boy arrives in the mail today!

…at the store. I just went home and immediately ordered it on Amazon for the exact same price, with free shipping. So I’ll be getting the LEGO Tallneck this week no problem! I think it’s great that LEGO is branching out into more video game sets. They’ve done some recently for Super Mario and Sonic the Hedgehog, and I own a couple of the Overwatch sets. This is hopefully the start of even more LEGO sets from video games!

Join me after the jump for more video game-themed LEGO sets I want to see in the future.

All the Boba Fetts, Animated

Our old pal Tell It Animated is back with a fun look at all the cool Boba Fett armors. I’m a big Boba Fett fan, because he’s cool as hell, and that’s largely because his look is so damn good. So this is right up my alley. Even if The Book of Boba Fett wasn’t so great.

As always, this was just plain fun. I hope this dude is super successful making these animations. They’re always a treat when they come along, and I’m happy to share them. Especially since they tend to pop up over the weekend and they make for good Monday morning happiness.

And, as always, should he ever read these posts, I recommend Robin for a future episode!

Hench-Sized Comic Book Reviews – 4/30/22

What a strangely big week for comics! Not only do we have a controversial launch of a new Amazing Spider-Man era, but we’ve also got the death of the Justice League! Both are something else. But neither one is my favorite comic of the week.

Comic Book of the Week goes to Saga #58 for another solid, enjoyable Saga issue with a strong hook at the end.

We’ve all been there

Meanwhile, I’m said to say I’ve dropped Thor because it just wasn’t my cup of tea. It was written and drawn well, but I was growing tired of its repetitive nature. I’m also not particularly interested in an upcoming crossover with the Hulk. Beyond that, I’m currently in the middle of binging The Last Kingdom on Netflix, and it’s pretty good. And I’m very excited for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness next week!

Comic Reviews: Amazing Spider-Man #1, Godzilla vs. The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #2, Justice League #75 and Saga #58.

Jurassic World: Dominion is Just Doing It

I haven’t been the biggest fan of the Jurassic World series. I dunno. They’re just nothing special, as far as I’m concerned. But at least it looks like they’re going for broke in the threequel. And I’m as much of a sucker for nostalgic cameos as the next idiot.

It looks fine to me. Lots of dinosaurs. All the familiar actors. Plenty of action. I don’t even really remember what exactly I haven’t cared for in the earlier Jurassic World movies. They’re just not…well put together? I dunno. But this looks fine.

Jurassic World: Dominion comes out on June 10.

The Upcoming Chip n’ Dale Movie Goes to Some Weird Place

The “live action” Chip n’ Dale: Rescue Rangers movie is coming in a month on Disney+ and I don’t think it’s like anything any of us expected. It’s so meta it’s on a whole different level. But it still looks kind of…like it’s going to be OK.

I’m definitely a John Mulaney fan, and he gets a couple of really good lines as Chip. So I guess we’re just going to see if this whole thing holds together and gets to be a good movie. I’m going to keep my hopes high. I loved the cartoon as a kid, and I’m capable of a lot of hope.

Chip n’ Dale: Rescue Rangers comes to Disney+ on May 20.
