Fallout Trailer Friday
We got a new trailer yesterday for the upcoming Fallout TV show, and I like this trailer a lot better than the first one. This trailer really shows off the world and plot of Fallout, from the Vault Dweller stuff to the Brotherhood of Steel to so much more. This is a great-looking trailer for a great-looking show!
I love the look of this. All of the iconography is perfect. The mood is perfect. Walter Goggins is going to really bring it! I really like the transition of the Vault Dweller from beginning to end. Everything looks solid!
And awesome news: every single episode of Fallout will be available on the same day, when it launches on Amazon Prime on April 11!

Danny DeVito is Always a Gem, Especially as Wolverine
There is a really, really fun meme making its way around YouTube over the past few months, and that’s inserting Danny DeVito footage into other pop culture. Especially footage of DeVito as Frank Reynolds in It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Most recently, the Corridor Crew has inserted him into the X-Men films as Wolverine.
That’s funny stuff! That’s quality internet weirdness. And I’m very happy to share it!
I’m also really happy to share these videos from the YouTube channel eli_handle_b.wav. It looks to me like this channel came up with the Danny DeVito meme, with their videos inserting Frank Reynolds into Baldur’s Gate 3 and The Last of Us.
It’s just endlessly funny to me! Frank Reynolds is an amazing character, and there is so much Danny DeVito footage available. I hope the internet continues to deliver on this stuff, because it’s a hoot!

The Borderlands Movie Looks Like a Lot of Fun!
I never played many of the Borderlands video games. I know I played some of the first, but that was about it. But the first trailer for the new Borderlands movie is out and it looks pretty fun! It looks heavily influenced by Guardians of the Galaxy, but I don’t see anything wrong with that.
Yeah, just looks like a wacky, silly, explodey good time. The cast looks great. The action looks great. The humor is pretty solid. Obviously it won’t be as good as what James Gunn himself could have done with the project, but there are far worse directors and movies to mimic. Let us hope they can pull off what they’re going for.
Borderlands comes to theaters on Aug. 9.

Hold All the Phones, There is a Knuckles TV Show Coming
We knew this was coming. It was announced, talked about, hinted at; and now we have a trailer. Dear lord in Heaven, we have a trailer for a live action Knuckles the Echidna TV show. How has it come to this?! I love Knuckles. Like, to an absurd degree. I loved him before I even knew what he looked like, because I was the sort of dorky kid who already knew what an echidna was before Knuckles showed up in Sonic 3. I spent so much energy hoping that Knuckles would show up in one of those two Sonic the Hedgehog animated cartoons from my youth.
Young Sean would have his mind freakin’ blown at this existence of this Knuckles TV show.
And it looks good maybe?! I’m no mega fan of the live action Sonic movies. In fact, I don’t think I particularly like them? I don’t remember. But I do think I really enjoyed Idris Elba as Knuckles in the sequel. So you best darn well believe I’ll be watching this show when it comes to Paramount+ on April 26.
Jeez louise. The Knuckles live action TV show. What even is the world we are living in?

Death Stranding 2 is Gonna Be Freaky Deaky
I loved the first Death Stranding game. It would have been my game of the year had I not waited so long to play it. Everybody complained that it was a walking simulator and that’s what I loved about it. I love pedantry in video games. I spent all of my time gathering resources so that I could build all the roads so that my deliveries were easier in a truck.
So I was very excited to see that Hideo Kojima is making a sequel!
So, uh, I don’t remember anything about the story or the weirdness. But I do see some walking and some vehicles, so I really, really hope the new game recreates the first game as a delivery boy. Let me walk! Let me build roads! Let me make deliveries! I can’t wait.
But I’m going to have to, because Death Stranding 2: On The Beach doesn’t come out until 2025…that’s gonna be a big year in gaming.
