Agent Coulson’s Cellist from Portland Found…Maybe!
The ladies of Portland, Oregon definitely seem to have a thing for Agent Phil Coulson.
Those lovely ladies are The Doubleclicks, and they have good taste in secret agents.
Thank Jeebus, Arrow is Gonna Get a Real Mask
I complained about this a long time ago, but man, Stephen Amell looked stupid with the green makeup brushed around his eyes on the TV show Arrow. Plus, in season 2, he’s not longer hiding in the shadows. He has face-to-face conversations with a lot of people who personally know Oliver Queen. The makeup just wasn’t cutting it anymore. And it never looked anything other than stupid. So good call, fine folks at Arrow. It’s nice to know you’re using your heads.
Also, how great has season 2 been, amiright?
A Little Doctor Who-mor (Get it?)
The fine people at How It Should Have Ended have decided to step away from their usual movie parodies to whip up a cartoon for the Doctor Who 50th anniversary special this week, because apparently they’re as big of Whovians as the rest of us! So if you don’t watch Doctor Who, you probably won’t have any idea what’s happening here. If you do watch Doctor Who, this is a retelling of the (almost) final goodbye between The Doctor and Rose Tyler. It’s pretty funny.
Of course, as we all know, Rose came back several times, and also comes back in the 50th anniversary special. But still, who knew their style could fit David Tennant so well? Alons-y!
Doctor Who Prologue – The Night of the Doctor
Ever wonder what became of the 8th Doctor, played by actor Paul McGann in a single made-for-TV movie in the 90s? Wonder no more! The BBC has released this new prologue to next week’s 50th anniversary special!
That was pretty crazy, right!? Oh man. Who would have thought a little teaser prologue could contain such direly important information for the Doctor’s backstory? And finally, at long last, we learn the final fate of McGann’s Eight. Now I’m even more excited for the big episode next week!
6 Things I Want To See in the Netflix Defenders
The deal Marvel made last week with Netflix to air four separate live-action superhero shows is still a little hard to believe. I wasn’t around in the 60s and 70s, when Batman, Wonder Woman and the Incredible Hulk all had successful and popular TV shows, so the idea of actually pulling this off is still very daunting. But then, the same could have been said about The Avengers movie, and that was a clear success. So I have the utmost confidence that Marvel and Netflix are going to pull off shows for Daredevil, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Jessica Jones, and then unite them as The Defenders. They’re probably going to be awesome.
And like most forms of superhero entertainment, you know I have my own opinions. There’s still time for Marvel to hire me to be a writer on one of these shows, but until then, this blog is all I have to share with you my ideas for this bold new TV venture. So join me after the jump for the 6 things I want from these shows.
Other than a writing credit, of course.
