6 Possible Star Wars Netflix Shows

The success of Daredevil, Jessica Jones and hopefully the rest of the Netflix Defenders has got me thinking: Why not mimic this success for Star Wars? This was definitely an experimental move for Marvel and Disney, but I’d like to think it’s paying off. And Disney clearly has no plans to ever end their series of Star Was entertainment. We’ll have a new movie and a new spin-off movie every year from now on, not to mention all the cartoons and books and video games we could ever possibly want. That’s just life from now on.

So what if Disney started making a bunch of live action, prestige Star Wars shows for Neflix?

What’s to stop them? An article I saw the other day pointed out the very real fact that few of us will live to see the final Star Wars movie. Disney will outlive us all, and they will continue making Star Wars products from now until the end of time. Rather than be angry with this, I will embrace the inevitable and brainstorm some awesome TV show ideas! Join me after the jump!

6 Thoughts on the First Season of Jessica Jones

Looks like this Marvel/Netflix deal is turning out to be one of the most creatively satisfying projects either company has ever done. After Daredevil was a huge hit this past summer, Jessica Jones has roared onto our screens to deliver another phenomenal superhero show. Gripping, invasive, spooky and downright charming (for both good and ill), Jessica Jones was worthy of a binge watch this past weekend, and it lived up to all the hype.

Season Rating: 9/10 – Great

Rather than write any kind of official review, I’d just like to jam a little on the awesomeness of Jessica Jones (and a few minor flaws). I loved the show from beginning to end and will gladly go back and rewatch someday. I can’t wait for her to team up with other heroes on the Defenders, and I already kind of want Jessica to start knocking around Tony Stark and Steve Rogers.

So join me after the jump for my wrap-up on Jessica Jones! And watch out for MASSIVE SPOILERS for the entire show!

Legends of Tomorrow Looks Pretty Badass

Legends of Tomorrow will premiere on Jan. 21, continuing the conquest of The CW with DC superheroes! I’m a little hesitant about this series, but damn if that trailer doesn’t look all manner of awesome. Can you believe we’re going to get a TV show starring Hawkman and the Atom? Granted, it’s in the same year that we’ll get a movie starring Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman. I guess 2016 is really going to be DC’s make or break year!

Jessica Jones Arrives Today!

In case you needed to be reminded, the new Jessica Jones TV show finally arrives on Netflix today! In fact, it’s available right now! Unfortunately, schmucks like me have to go to work. But you darn well better believe I’ll be binging the show as soon as I get out and through the weekend!

To hold us over, here’s the radical and nifty opening title sequence!

I’m so excited for this show! Word has it it’s just as good as we all hope. This is going to be a great weekend!

Back from Vacation – Just in Time for More Jessica Jones!

Hey everybody! Your regularly scheduled Henchman-4-Hire is back from vacation, finally, and we’re ready to get this blog back in order. Thank you very much to Alyssa for filling in with some fun videos while I was gone, but I’m ready to get back to work. Be sure to tune in later this morning for my review of Teen Titans #13.

But for now, Marvel and Netflix have released a second full-length trailer for Jessica Jones!

It’s not as evocative as the first, but I suppose it’s time to get into the nitty gritty now that the show is only a week away! I still cannot wait.
