A Super-Powered Drug Movie is Coming to Netflix!
Now is the time that Netflix should be stepping up its game! Hollywood is over. There are no theaters anymore and any big blockbuster film has been delayed until October at the earliest. Netflix original movies are some of the only movies were ever getting anymore!
So here comes Project Power with Jamie Foxx and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
It looks very good, at the very least. Literally. It looks good. The special effects seem really top notch in displaying super powers in a movie. And maybe the story and characters are fun too! We only have to wait until Aug. 14 to find out!

The Old Guard is Coming
I’ve never read The Old Guard, a comic by Greg Rucka about an immortal race of ass-kickers. But the movie adaptation is coming to Netflix in a week!
As someone who loves watching movies, I’m glad at least something is coming out during this global pandemic. I have to hope this’ll be good. Or at least fun. Charlize Theron is always a hoot. So let’s give The Old Guard a try!

Here’s a Bunch of Netflix Movie Trailers
Look, I’m off from work today, slept in a little bit and am generally feeling kind of lazy. It’s super hot and humid here in the northeast and sometimes a fella’s just got to make a lazy blog post. So here’s a bunch of Netflix trailers I’ve been sitting on for a lazy day!
First up is a brand new film that I just heard about, which prompted this lazy post. It’s Over the Moon! An animated film set to release in the fall.
Next up is Old Guard starring Charlize Theron as an ancient comic book badass, along with her whole crew. It comes out on July 10. If Netflix is snatching up any comic book it can find in these pandemic times, I’ve got something they might be interested in!
Lastly is Warrior Nun, which is actually a series, not a movie. It’s based on a manga, so similar to a comic! This comes out on July 2, so not very far off at all.
All of these look pretty good. Especially what with this being the Year Without Movies!

The King’s Man Is Still Planning to Come Out
The King’s Man prequel movie is slated to be released in theaters on Sept. 28. It’s not the first big budget movie to try to return to theaters this summer/fall, but it’s nice that it’s still holding on with some hope. The new trailer looks pretty neat.
I like the general idea behind The King’s Man. Take the cool, stylized concept of the Kingsmen movies and apply it to a period piece. That could be fun! And hopefully we will indeed have movie theaters back by the end of September.

Won’t Somebody Think of the Movie Parody Channels?
With Hollywood shut down and no new movies coming out, what have our favorite movie parody YouTube channels been up to all this time? They won’t have any summer blockbusters to parody! They’re stuck making videos of movies from earlier this year.
Like How Birds of Prey Should Have Ended!
The HISHE people give it to ole college try with this one, and it’s actually pretty good. I salute them for that. Now they can do Bloodshot…and Sonic the Hedgehog…and…Portrait of a Lady on Fire? That was a good film.
