Here’s a Movie Trailer About Cars Or Something
I dunno, people. It’s Monday, there’s not much else going on, and all I really have to share is this trailer for Ford v Ferrari: Dawn of Racing that I saw last night. What’s that? I made an unnecessary Dawn of Justice joke? Sue me.
I guess since I’m not a car guy I don’t see what the big deal is about this movie. It’s based on some sort of true story, where a couple of dudes built a Ford car that beat out a Ferrari at racing? Is it really that difficult to build a faster car? I guess we’ll have to watch the movie to find out!

New Pixar Film Dives Into Urban Fantasy
I really enjoy the Urban Fantasy trope — the idea of taking all those classic elements like elves, dragons, unicorns and more and putting them in a modern setting. The new film is Onward, about two elf brothers on a quest!
Looks neat to me! I think we’re past the age where Pixar movies are all wonderful works of art and are now just traditional animated films, but whatever. Should still be fun and well-made.

How a Bunch of Movies Should Have Ended
Sometimes when I’m coming up with things to post on my blog, I collect a bunch of fun YouTube videos to save for a rainy day. Today is that day. So let’s run through a bunch of How It Should Have Ended videos!
First up is the one for Bumblebee, which is pretty fun! I enjoyed the movie, and this video is fun and clever with the absolute perfect ending. The girl totally should have stuck around with Bumblebee!
Pretty fun. Great voice work stuff in that one. But they should have pushed it one step further and had Hailee Steinfeld team up with Shia LeBeouf!
Anyway, here’s the one for Shazam! In which I start to notice a disturbing trend…
Is this “How It Should Have Ended” or is it “let’s just make a bunch of jokes”. They completely threw away their own premise! And it gets even worse with the one for Aladdin!
What is going on?! Granted, it’s an alternate ending to the movie, but really it’s just the creators riffing on a random plot thread from Aladdin. They do a perfectly fine Robin Williams impression, but it’s just a bunch of jokes about the Aladdin premise, not a bunch of clever alternate possibilities for the ending.
They’re losing track of their own selves!

Sure, Robert Pattinson is the New Batman
Actor Robert Pattinson has been cast to play Batman in the next solo film, due out in 2021. And to that I say: sure, why not?
I never saw any of the Twilight films…nor have I seen anything else Pattinson has done. I don’t even really remember him from that one Harry Potter movie he was in. So honestly, I have zero opinion on this casting choice. And I have long since moved past any fanboy rage of the perfect actor not being cast. I am terrible at the casting game, and I’m very open to whatever interpretation filmmakers want to go with…within reason.
So this looks like a perfectly fine choice for what will probably be a perfectly fine reason. And I can once again start getting my hopes up for a proper on-screen Robin. That is all I honestly care about at this point.
