The Top 6 Horse People in Pop Culture
BoJack Horseman comes to an end this week, probably my favorite TV show of the past several years. It is a masterful show combining comedy and drama in equal measure, to degrees rarely seen in entertainment. It’s funny, and then it’s so damn poignant!
So let’s celebrate anthropomorphic horse people in pop culture!
Normal horses
Anthropomorphic animals are a staple across cartoons, comics, movies and everything else under the sun. Who doesn’t love a good talking horse? Heck, having just a regular horse with some human characteristics is a hugely popular trope across all of fiction. But in honor of BoJack Horseman (who definitely makes this list), we’re going to look specifically at horses that can at least talk. Horses with character. Horses with depression. Horses with real personality!

The 6 Mightiest Lion Superheroes
Why are there no famous lion superheroes? Lions are the king of the jungle! They’ve got that badass mane to signify their dominance! The females do the hunting! Lions are pretty cool animals, but they are poorly represented in the world of comic book characters. We’ve got a Batman and a Spider-Man for crying out loud, but no prominent lion heroes!

I’ve made it a List of Six hobby of mine to track down all the comic book characters based on obscure but interesting creatures. I’ve done frogs, dogs, pigs, eagles, dinosaurs and more! And now we’re going to take a deep dive into the history of superhero comics to detail some obscure, but no less interesting, comic book characters based on lions! Surprisingly, a lot of them are actually super-villains!

My 6 Favorite Teen Superheroes
New this week, Marvel Comics has announced their Outlawed storyline, in which teenage superheroes will be outlawed by the federal government. Oddly, this will lead to a whole new relaunch of a bunch of teen superhero comics, like Champions, New Warriors, Power Pack and potentially more! It’s as if they didn’t even hear the new law!
It’s gonna be a whole thing
I think it’s an interesting storyline idea and I wish Marvel all the best in seeing it through! And it got me thinking about my favorite teen superheroes. There have been a lot over the years, but as I looked over the lists I found online, I realized my own favorites list was pretty small. I discovered that I haven’t really been a big fan of teenage superheroes over the years. I’m a fan of a lot of young adult, early-20s, college-aged superheroes like Squirrel Girl or the Slingers. But teens? It’s a short, tight list!

My 6 Most Anticipated Video Games of 2020
2020 is going to be a great year for video games — hopefully! Around this time of year, I usually put together a list of my most anticipated movies. But honestly, there aren’t too many movies in the new year I’m really excited about. Whereas I’m practically giddy about some of the great video games we’ve got coming up!
Last year wasn’t a big year for video games for me. I spent about 90% of the year just playing Red Dead Redemption Online, and was happy for it. I’m currently loving the heck out of Death Stranding and its meticulous gameplay. And I’ve got a few other games in the pocket to pick up next. Hopefully those will hold me over until some of these gems come out!

My 6 Favorite Things of 2019
Happy New Year, everybody! Like pretty much every pop culture site on the internet, I do a round-up for my favorite things of the past year. Unlike all those professional sites with their professional standards and plenty of employees, I just try to bang out my favorites in a couple different categories. Mostly, there were a ton of good TV shows this year!
I had a little trouble coming up with some bonus categories. I don’t really listen to music, so I can’t judge that. And I need to get my Lists of Six up to six. Sometimes I’ve done my favorite toys of the year, but then I didn’t really buy too many memorable action figures or LEGO models. And sometimes I’d done my favorite new thing on the internet, but I don’t think I saw too many new and exciting things. And there weren’t many memorable movie trailers!
