6 Things I Want to See in the Ms. Marvel TV Show

After a long wait and what was no doubt a lengthy audition process, Marvel Studios has cast Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan for the upcoming Ms. Marvel TV show on Disney+! This is exciting news because I am a huge Ms. Marvel fan and am very much looking forward to this show.

Theoretically arriving someday…

As has been pointed out, this is Vellani’s first major Hollywood role, so we don’t really know how she’s going to pan out as an actor — but I have 110% faith in the Marvel casting process. They haven’t failed us yet. No other casting decisions have been released online yet, but I’ve seen that the show is looking to bring in most of Kamala’s supporting cast from the comics. So there are no individual characters I hope they include because I’m confident they will include all the important ones. So this list is just some fun speculation of other things I’d like to see, like storyline ideas, villains or little details here or there.

Join me after the jump for ideas I’d like to see in the upcoming Ms. Marvel TV show! And feel free to share your own hopes, dreams and ideas in the comments!

6 Surprise Siblings of Popular Characters

Siblings; can’t live with’em, can’t live without’em. Or something like that. I have two younger siblings, and they’re pretty cool. But this isn’t an article about them. You know who else has siblings? Pop culture characters! And you know what’s even more fun? When those siblings randomly show up out of the blue and are sometimes never heard from again!

Like Enola Holmes, the hit new Netflix movie about Sherlock Holmes’ younger sister.

It’s nice that Millie Bobbie Brown is getting work

I watched Enola Holmes this past weekend and rather enjoyed it. But did you know that she is not canon to the actual Sherlock Holmes stories? Enola Homes is a creation of American author Nancy Springer, who wrote a series of young adult novels about the character between 2006 and 2010. So, surprise! Sherlock Holmes has a younger sister! Kind of!

Turns out, this happens every once and a while in pop culture and I’ve tracked down a couple other random, surprise siblings! Join me after the jump and be in awe!

6 Things I Want to See in Hogwarts Legacy

I have not yet decided if I’m going to buy the recently announced video game Hogwarts Legacy, based on the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. I have been looking forward to this game since it leaked a couple years ago, but writer JK Rowling has proven herself to be a horrendous transphobe.

So at the very least, for now, I can speculate on what I’d like to see in a single player Wizarding World RPG.

That sure is the logo alright

I don’t have any real excuse to hide behind in wanting to play this game, like supporting the developers or death of the author. I just really love single player RPGs and I love the Harry Potter books/world. So for me, it’s going to be a matter of deciding between how much I want to play this game vs. how little I want to support anything in Rowling’s world, because of her toxic views against trans people. It’s a decision a lot of fans have been grappling with for years, and when Hogwarts Legacy comes out, it’s a decision I will have to make.

So join me after the jump for six things I hope to see in the game…things I may decide to never experience.

6 TV Show Finales That I Love, That Everybody Else Hates

TV is a fickle beast. Sometimes shows just can’t maintain the greatness we come to expect. Sometimes really good shows change writers or showrunners and the end just peters out. Sometimes the ending is so bad the show is forever tainted in the eyes of the world.

And sometimes when that happens, I go against the grain and end up loving the finale that everybody else hates! It has happened so often that I found six entries!

Yes, I’m going there…

I like what I like, and sometimes I just don’t have a good explanation for why I like it. I am surprisingly easy to please in the middle of watching something. There are a lot of shows I hate, a lot of endings I loathe, but there have been a few times where I have either loved or have been perfectly happy with a show’s finale, only for the rest of the world and the internet to hate the ending with a fiery passion. I just don’t get it. And I doubt I can convince you to change your mind. It’s been years since watching some of these finales, and I honestly don’t remember as much as I would like. Don’t expect me to have big, amazing reasons for why I enjoyed all of the listed finales, I just liked them.

Join me after the jump to see just what kind of crap I actually enjoy. FULL SPOILERS for each of the shows mentioned.

My 6 Favorite Venture Bros. Characters

The sad news came down yesterday that The Venture Bros. cartoon has been stealth cancelled. The creators were working on the upcoming seasons when they got word several months ago. This is a major shame because The Venture Bros. is one of the greatest cartoons of all time.

Rest well, sweet heroes

As befitting such a great show, I wanted to do a really good List of Six, but honestly, I barely remember anything about the show. I thought about doing my favorite episodes…but that would require an entire rewatch to pick them out. I thought about listing the various unsolved mysteries and storylines that will never get solved…but that would also require an entire rewatch. And we only got the news yesterday! So how about something simple, like my favorite characters from The Venture Bros!

That should be easy! Join me after the jump for my favorite characters from the show. And feel free to share your own in the comments!
