6 Comic Book Superheroes Taylor Swift Should Date

Taylor Swift is the most popular celebrity in the world right now and everyone is trying their damndest to capitalize on her popularity — especially when it comes to her dating relationship with Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce. Man oh man, the NFL is going all-in on Taylor/Travis hype, hoping to ride those coattails as far as they can.

So why shouldn’t I get a piece of that pie?

T-Swift, the Swiftmeister, El Swifterino

I don’t watch NFL games and I don’t have any interest in Taylor Swift’s music or celebrity, but I’ve got a blog to run here and I’ve got an SEO to chase! So how about a List of Six that involves Taylor Swift in some way? Like…who she’s dating…and…which superheroes she should date! BAM! I’m a marketing genius!

Though make no mistake, this list is not a criticism of Taylor Swift. I sat through The Eras Tour movie and her music isn’t for me, but I don’t have anything against her as a person. She seems really cool, actually. I’m totally in favor of her re-recording all her old music out of spite. That was cool as heck. This is just a silly comic book listicle I’m throwing together because I think it’s funny to chase this madness!

So join me after the jump for six comic book superheroes that Taylor Swift could/should date in the comics to give superhero comics more publicity!

6 Marvel Characters Who Could Support a Traditional TV Show

Word came down last week that Marvel is scrapping most of the work done on the upcoming Daredevil: Born Again TV show, and that they’re looking to make TV shows more like classic TV productions. This is both dismaying and uplifting news. On the one hand, I’m sorry to hear about any problems at Marvel Studios. On the other hand, I’m all for them doing what needs to be done to put out the best possible product.

Superior cameo

I have enjoyed pretty much all of the Marvel Disney+ shows so far, with few exceptions. But it’s interesting to learn that Marvel leaned into making the shows like movies instead of making the shows like shows. That explains a lot. And it’ll be interesting to see Marvel make their shows more like traditional shows, with showrunners, pilots and planned seasons going forward. To that end, why don’t I stick my nose in where it doesn’t belong and offer some suggestions? Marvel has a whole host of characters and teams that haven’t been used yet, and who I think could make for a fun, multi-season, traditional TV show.

Join me after the jump for all the characters I think could support their own multi-season TV show, without the need to tie into the movies.

6 Thoughts on the First Season of Ahsoka (Review)

Another Star Wars TV show has come and gone and I was very excited for this one. Like everyone else in the fandom, I had no faith in Ahsoka Tano when she was first introduced as the kiddie character in a new Star Wars cartoon way back in the day. But she’s now one of my all-time favorite Star Wars characters, and I was very excited for her show. Now that it’s over…meh.

TV Show Rating: 6/10 – Pretty Good

Ahsoka Tano is a very fun character and she’s had a great story. And I really like Rosario Dawson’s live action version. But the Ahsoka show was ultimately a bit of a disappointment in the end. I enjoyed the show for the most part and had high hopes, but I’m not overall happy with the final product. It’s well-made, well-acted, has some neat parts; but the first season didn’t really accomplish much, in my opinion.

Join me after the jump for my full thoughts and review of the first season of Ahsoka. Expect FULL SPOILERS for the whole season. And feel free to share your own thoughts and feelings in the comments below.

6 Mutants to Join the Ninja Turtles in High School

I very much enjoyed Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem. It was fun, funny, full of energy and life, and was just plain cool all around. So I’m very much excited for the announced sequel, as well as the announced two-season cartoon on Nickelodeon! It’s going to be called Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and will serve as a bridge between the two movies.

What’s with the mouthful titles?

Based on how Mutant Mayhem ended, I’m pretty much assuming that the new cartoon series will feature the Turtles in high school. That’s a great premise, and one I don’t think we’ve seen before. All the young voice actors from Mutant Mayhem are returning for the Turtles, and it should be a blast to see them as real teenagers in a real high school, just like they wanted! Should be a fun watch. And what would be even more fun? Filling the high school with other teenage mutants from the wider world of the Turtles!

So join me after the jump as I rattle off some of my favorite old school TMNT mutants who deserve a chance to step up and being recognized in cartoon form, at long last!

6 Answers I Need from Baylan Skoll and Shin Hati

The Ahsoka TV show is almost over and there’s only one thing I really care about: the secret history and potential futures of Baylan Skoll and Shin Hati. I haven’t seen last night’s episode yet, so maybe every question on this list has already been answered, but I wrote this list anyway. These characters are super damn cool.

Who needs Qui-Gonn

I think everyone agrees that Baylan and Shin are the best part about the Ahsoka show. It’s a good show, it’s fine. But does anybody really care about Sabine getting back to Ezra? I watched all of Rebels, but I really, really don’t care. Should we really be all that concerned about Grand Admiral Thrawn when the sequels exist? No thank you. I want to know more about the super cool, super mysterious dark Force-users who have their own agenda and aren’t super predictable.

So join me after the jump for six questions I have about Baylan Skoll and Shin Hati, even if they are super obvious questions.
