Toon Trailer Tuesday
It’s a Tuesday. I’ve got some cartoon trailers, some leftover from Comic-Con, so I feel like sharing. First up is the trailer for the next season of Solar Opposites, which is still good.
The new voice is normal now, and Solar Opposites remains a fun, weird show. And to double up on them, how about a trailer specifically for the next chapter of The Wall saga?!
Yeah, that’s a good way to spend a Tuesday. Solar Opposites returns to Hulu on Aug. 12! So next week! Neat.
Then we’ve got the Comic-Con trailer for the fifth and final season of Star Trek: Lower Decks. How sad that this show is coming to and end. This is MY Star Trek show! These are MY Star Trek characters! I will follow them wherever they go! Hopefully a sequel series, or a live action something…
Star Trek: Lower Decks returns to Paramount+ on Oct. 24, so very far in the future.

Live Action Animated Wolverine!
Tell It Animated is back with Wolverine! Deadpool & Wolverine is still making box office money, so this still fits! And it’s a fun little video, tracing all the live action Wolverine costumes through the movies. Shame he couldn’t include the animated Wolverines as well.
Wolverine’s black leather outfits weren’t so bad. I like the gold lining they had, and the stripes here and there. And the new yellow outfit totally works. Has anyone photoshopped what the new movie outfit would look like if he kept the shoulder pads while going sleeveless? I’m sure they thought about it while making the movie and it looked dumb, but I’d still enjoy.
Anyway, as always, should he ever read these posts, my suggestion for a new one is Robin! Not that there’s any Robin content coming out anytime soon…

Some Sweet DC Comic-Con Trailers
Today is the last day of San Diego Comic-Con, and I’m sure they’ve got some big news coming out. Will anything top what Marvel Studios revealed last night? Who knows! But DC put out a couple of really awesome trailers I wanted to share. There’s a whole bunch of trailers from the event, but I’m gonna sparse them out.
First up is a new trailer for The Penguin, which still looks like an awesome, gritty crime drama, which is exactly what I want this show to be.
I wish we had more references to Batman in this trailer, because he should be a presence in this movie, but I’ll take what I can get. Cristin Milioti looks awesome of Sophia Falcone, and it sounds like they’re doing a bit of The Hangman storyline. Should be a blast! And Colin Farrell looks crazy good!
The Penguin is coming to Max on Sept. 19.
Then we got the first trailer for Creature Commandos, the animated series that kicks off James Gunn’s new DC Universe! And it looks great, as far as I’m concerned.
Looks fun, looks wacky, looks like what I’d expect Creature Commandos to look like. So I’m jazzed for this show. and I’m jazzed to see some of these characters appear in live action afterwards, like Rick Flagg Sr. joining the second season of Peacemaker. So these are definitely some shows I’m looking forward to watching later this year!
Creature Commandos is coming to Max in December.

Rick and Morty is Gonna Be a Wild Anime
I still enjoy watching Rick and Morty, even if it’s heyday is behind us. I still enjoy watching South Park, too. I’m just that kind of cartoon guy. And I definitely enjoy when shows like this take a big swing. Rick and Morty has now produced 10 episodes of Rick and Morty: The Anime, and it looks wild.
So yeah, not entirely sure what to make of that trailer other than just being generally excited! It looks wild, it looks weird, it’s made from real anime people. The show is already pretty wild, but this one could be so weirdly fun. I’m fully on board and can’t wait to watch!
Rick and Morty: The Anime is coming to Adult Swim and Max on Aug. 15.

They Made a New ASDF Movie
ASDF is this weird, funny, random internet silliness bit. They’ve been putting out content for a decade now…longer? I dunno. It’s Friday morning, I’m still in the middle of a busy work for week, and I just wanna post something silly and fun. I like this. I hope you do too.
They’re also selling a game or a hat or something. Who can tell. I just want a nice, relaxing Friday before diving back into the belly of the work beast tomorrow morning.
Oh, also, I just found this bit of deleted scenes! So it’s bonus ASDF content!
