The Honest Trailer We’ve Been Waiting For
I watched Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey during a visit home to see my parents a couple weeks ago, and it totally holds up! That is a quality film franchise. But, of course, Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure is much better.
Though after seeing Bogus Journey and it’s happy, uplifting ending, I’ve decided to come out against a third movie. I don’t want it to happen. I don’t care if they get the original actors back, I don’t want to see a third.
Rally behind me, friends! No Bill & Ted 3! No Bill & Ted 3!

If it actually happens, part 3 will be awful. Not because of disappointed nostalgia or failure of writing and direction. It’ll be the screenplay. You can’t capture the essence of an era you’re not currently in – all you have is your personal recollection.
We all share pieces and moments of a time, but no one can ever truly recreate how the late 80s/early 90s felt to someone else by way of an “X decades later” sequel.
Not to mention that, in their timeline, they should be presiding over a rock and roll utopia by now which – ignoring the DeNomolos incident since he had, what, 20 followers? – should rightly be devoid of any conflict worth making a movie about.
