Legends of Tomorrow: And Just Like That, Nothing is Ever the Same Again
One day after the Supergirl trailer hits, we’ve got our first full look at Legends of Tomorrow, the oddly not-named Justice League show spinning out of Arrow and The Flash. This is a real trailer, more than three minutes long, showing everybody in action against the forces of Vandal Savage.
I don’t think television is ever going to be the same again.
I mean, come on! This is a full-on superhero team TV show, featuring time travel, the Atom, resurrections, big fights, Firestorm; this is insane, right? This can’t really be happening? This can’t really be a real TV show that we all get to watch and enjoy?
Granted, it looks cheesy as hell, but they’re making cheesy work on The Flash. I don’t see any reason why this can’t be as amazing as we all want it to be. I even have some ideas!
Though I still want to know how they justify not having the Flash or Green Arrow on the team.

I can’t find anything in this one. I’d just finished the trailer when I saw you put this up, and there was maybe one thing I had a problem with. I didn’t like Rip’s accent. Just some slight thing, but I’d’ve preferred he just sound like Rory, since they decided on using Darvill. For the most part, I just thought everything else was cool. Kinda Justice League-y, a group of supers plus whatever the professor’s role is, and bad guys, or former bad guys, have joined them before. Going up against Vandal seems like a pretty big goal, and time travel always sucks. Flash and whatever name Ollie’s going to use seem like they’d be pretty integral so they better have a good reason for not including them, and it better not be Ollie’s on vacation, ’cause he should be done with that by then.
Yeah, Darvill’s accent kind of bugged me too. It was a little much, and I’m not usually bothered by accents. Maybe it comes with his character’s confidence.
Excited, but this trailer’s really overshadowed by Superman right now. It was pretty strange that this trailer doesn’t show Robbie Amell’s face, a decent look at Hawkgirl, or any new footage of Heatwave. Do you think they still haven’t gotten Robbie Amell to sign on or what?
Yeah, I’m super confused about the lack of Robbie Amell as well.
… DC is doing strange things to me, honestly. I dislike 90% of their current comic output (except for Grayson, maybe Batgirl)- and yet it’s the opposite with their TV shows. What gives?
One is good and one is bad. Different people are behind the creative decisions.
It’s almost as if we’ve been given a sign as to which baby to throw out the window… if only we could.
Wait, the first Black Canary has come back from the dead? And there’s not one, but two, fire focused heroes in Heatwave and Firestorm? Plus Heatwave and Captain Cold are villains turned (maybe) good? I have got to check that show out. How could i not? Plus, i’m pretty sure Heatwave is a sociopath, so that should make things even more interesting.
Yep! You’re correct on all accounts. The original Black Canary is being brought back via Lazarus Pit. Heatwave and Firestorm are part of the team, and Heatwave is definitely a sociopath crazy person, but both he and Captain Cold are turning good enough to join this team.
